Been watching too many 6-12hrs recipes/methods here (DAMN IT of course it needs 12hrs if one has 350pnds piece to roast)…….. Just happen I had some on hand yesterday. Took 4hrs MAX 110F oven (20mins on broil, but I did not need to…. Could have waited 5-6hrs total instead while leaving them cooking at 125F and it would have been even better) —– (1.5pnds of fresh ribs and 5pnds of frozen ones….. )
So, 4 or 6 hrs…. what's the difference? I'll tell you>>>>> TAKE a fork and check the meat. If the fork can't get in after 3-4hrs, it's not ready. If the fork can't get in after 7-9 hrs, its too late. (when the fork gets in…… ad vegs or rice etc…. if cast-iron, everything will cook in the left-over heat) [Simpler than to cook an egg.] Don't forget the last 20-30mins grilling with BBQ sauce (the more you check, the more sauce you can ad, the tastier them get)

I usually put a cup of rice in that pan and broth 25-30mins before ready. Often time my rice is ready after 15mins….
(recipes only help me have a base, not a plate)

Yeah, ….if after 7-9hrs you still hoping to have ribs: it won't happen, ……..eat your prepared salad/potatoes, or call for pizza ….[it was a bunch of laying slabs of ribs. NOT a 15lbs turkey or wild-goose in a ball!!!!]
(I'm only trying to help here) (without ads btw)
    😉
btw: I'm no millionaire to have a grill outside. I do all of this only in winter in oven, just as cooking pea-soup or beans etc, in order to save on heating cost.
