OK, maybe I'm stupid, but do you mean refridge' three or four days before and on the day… THEN bake it? Or do we bake, then refridge? I happen to have a beautiful little truffle… I was thinking of eliminating the fruits, and shaving in a little of my truffle into this recipe… stick with all the savory, eliminate the sweet fruits, and add the smokey earthy truffle flavor… What do you think… am I crazy?

My mom had quite the cookbook collection but none shined like the one she bought from the local drug store and it wasn't a type o all it said was for stuffing the turkey was unpopped kernels in the turkey and wait, I mean this was before social media I mean the telephone was lit with people talking about the stuffing. of course I was too busy laughing

I had a pita (that's northeastern for pain in the ass) cousin bring mashed potatoes to Thanksgiving the one year and she refused to tell us how she made them. By taste alone, I deduced they were high salt and cream notes and with some experimentation and sampling concluded that she bought Bob Evans mashed potatoes and put them in her own dish to make them appear to be homemade lol. So sometimes people even within the family don't like to share "their recipes."

It always fascinated me how people can be so secretive of their recipes and cooking methods, they act like it's a $1 billion secret and if everyone else knows they'll somehow lose money…while at the same time they never make any effort to profit from their "secret". Fast forward ten years and they're still peasants. I'd love to have a follow up conversation with them and be like, so are you a billionaire yet? How's that trillion dollar mashed potato recipe working out for you? Oh, you still broke? Well you must be the worst business person on earth if you can't make a billion dollar idea pan out for you…I mean, come on, those mashed potatoes should practically sell themselves. hahaha. I might go call my cousin right now. 🙂

I'll never understand why some people don't share their recipes, it's such a compliment to be asked! I often attach the recipe when I give someone cookies or brownies in case they want to make more. I even keep extra copies of my "most requested" in my recipe binder, when guests ask for the recipe, I happily hand them a copy!
This looks delicious, Chef, thank you for another great video. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hey chef..you should teach ppl how to shake the pan to flip the ingredients..beginners don’t know it’s not just for show..it gets ALL the ingredients moving, covered in oil, changing their sides for even caramelization..and it speeds your cooking and makes it more efficient..I’ll leave a question mark in case you search for questions..?
