My southern baked candied yams recipe is a easy one. It is more of a southern and soul food version. I use garnet yams, which are red sweet potatoes.

I don’t even like those. I was looking for a recipe for them to cook for my boyfriend when I came across your channel. Those look SO GOOD he may have to move over. 🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing. Blessed be!!!

    Ma’am…you saved Thanksgiving 2020🥳
My stepdad is the chef of my family but my parents came to visit so I had to dust my apron off! He said he’s had yams from our neighbor who is a caterer and they were too sweet to eat but these were PERFECT! 🤩 Thank you❣️

Made this recipe for thanksgiving, same ingredients and followed directions. Loved it and so did the family. Only thing is it took a longer time in the oven for me almost 2hrs before the yams became tender. Not sure why but overall I loved it so delicious!

I used this recipe last year and my family couldn't get enough of these yams. I had to make more the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Thank you!!!! I finally found it and saved it this time!

Taking a refresher viewing for later today. I've cooked these the last two Thanksgivings and came out great, but took a lot longer. I kind of think I should par boil the potatoes first, idk
