Thank you great info, I have my little home stocked but in all honesty I don’t think I have enough, I have been dehydrating like no tomorrow and vacuum sealing it all up, I helped my mom with 2 gallon jars of assorted veggies for her soups and stews and I told her that’s not enough! Just doing what I can but was without any income for 8 months, finally got a job so will use every paycheck to get stocked to the rafters and helping my mom with her pantry stocking

Appreciate your channel. But puhleeeeeze don't call Canola oil "healthy". It's one of the unhealthiest oils you can put in your body, for a number of reasons. I've never gotten oil that went rancid faster than canola. The oils/fats I store that store well long term, don't get rancid (which is poison when you put that in your body, rancid or oxidized fats are like taking sandpaper to the inside of your vasculature, and do extensive damage via oxidative stress), are Extra Virgin Coconut oil and my own home rendered lard and tallow, for frying and baking; and EVOO for drizzling liberally on salads, veggies, etc. I don't choose to cook with olive oil as it does not handle heat well and will break down and form unhealthy compounds when heated too much.

Try the things that you're adding for variety in small amounts before buying dozens of them. Having foods on your shelf that no one likes now while hoping that they'll eat them when times are hard(er) is not a successful plan or a good use of your money.

Great video! I have a question. Have you used the Nido milk beyond it’s Best Buy date? I had a can hide from me lol, I just found it but it’s almost a year best Best Buy. Still useable? And if not any other good use for it? Thanks!

This happened to me this weekend. I did my usual Sunday shopping for the week, and the store I shop at had empty spaces everywhere! Chicken $5.00 a pound for tenders. The only sales were on expired items! The regular items were nearly double from last week. This was here in Oregon.

The Lord’s great day of judgment is almost here; it is approaching very rapidly! There will be a bitter sound on the Lord’s day of judgment; at that time warriors will cry out in battle. That day will be a day of God’s anger, a day of distress and hardship, a day of devastation and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and dark skies. (Zephaniah 1:14-15)

With the projected spike in energy prices, I’m planning for cooking and heating with non gas and non electric ways for cooking. Research the “ hay box cooker” used during ww2 in the UK. It’s an insulated box that you put a cooking pot down into after bringing your stew or beans to a boil. It hold on heat to help finish cooking with out using more fuel They were quite efficient and saves fuel.

I've recently been buying parboiled rice instead of regular long grain or Jasmine rice. It has a shelf life of 30 years and cooks up almost as quickly as instant rice. It costs the same as regular rice.

Canned brown bread (plain and/or with raisins) it's very good sliced and toasted, topped with butter or cream cheese. Canned butter is a good thing to have on hand, and ghee. TFS your great list of 12 things preppers should have in their food stocks.

I've always read that crockpot beans taste better than canned. They're right. I cook just for myself and bought a tiny 1 1/2 qt crockpot, presoaked beans done in 3 hrs. Should have done this 50 years ago.

I just want to say thank you for being calm but real about preparing. Every time your videos come on I can’t wait to watch and learn or to watch and remember learning those things in Girl Scouts or from my parents. I’ve really learned a lot from you about how long to save food and how to preserve it. I just bought a dehydrator and can’t wait to get it. Also I ordered a newer and better vacuumed sealer.! Take care and God bless!🙏🏼🌹💐🙏🏼🌹
