Hubby surprised me with an 8 qt Mealthy pot for Christmas, first thing, cooked a pot of rice with veggies. Wonderful! Love all the features! Gotta try the yogurt feature to make soy yogurt. I just didn't know what I was missing as the only 6 qt pressure cooker I used was on the stove!

Thanks, Kathy for the preview of the 2.0. Mine will be arriving asap since you convinced me that I needed one (really not that difficult). I guess I can donate one of my IPs to a person having a hard time conceiving her own and needs to adopt.

I can't use any of the presets because the times are all off. My soaked beans are well done in 3-4 min. White rice takes 4 min and brown rice 8 min. I've been using pressure cookers all my life. I have 3 stovetop ones. A 4 qt and 2 21 qts for canning. I have a 6 qt insta pot that just quit working and an 8qt from Best buy. The Best buy is a replacement for one that quit. I've been using them for about a year. I have to take the insta pot back. I wish I knew why my beans cook so much faster than anyone else's. That's not a complaint, I'd just like to know. I love them and don't want to be without them.
