I make my own French fries. I put vegetable oil in a sauce pan, cut potato in half and slice the half's the half then slice or third the slice. I cook my potato till golden brown (about 12 min). I am a very lazy cooker, I put my patties in a dish and cook in the oven 15 min on one side and 15 min on the other side. I do up grade my hamburger with sautéed onion slices and a few slices of mushrooms. If I have avocado I will slice that and add it to my hamburger. Its cheap, tasty and just as good as restaurant burgers. I save the cooled vegetable oil in a container in the freezer and use it again.

Love you and your program. I’m old, as in OLD. When you show something and don’t say what it is, I can’t see the screen well enough to know what you showed. Today you mentioned a Knorr product end showed it. I couldn’t see what it was. You later said soup. So I’m assuming you were suggesting to eat marked-down Knorr soup and marked-down crackers as a cheap meal.
To answer your question,: to save money, I pay strict attention to the portions noted on the product. I never did that! I was shocked at how much further products last. Bless you, you make my day!

Food banks and church food pantries are for the truly poor.
Not for people that have money and are being frugal.
They are also not for people to stockpile food.

Hey Rhoda. I'm a big fan of Johnny D's films too. I didn't keep up with the trail/suits, because I didn't want to stop watching his films if he was proven to be a monster. lol I guess I'll look into it one day.

Hi Rhoda ,good question. So I’m English & spend aprox £120 a month, that includes my dogs food & alcohol for one night a week disco in my house, dancing with my dogs to every decade of music but I was born in the seventies so disco 💃🏼 is great “staying alive” lol.I’m a carer for a family member so I don’t get what working carer gets.I get the food delivered,I base it round the offers like two things for the price of one .
.If I had a car I would do the yellow stickers marked down but you can’t get them on delivery,my delivery charge is only £1.50p so I couldn’t get my food home on the bus that 😁I have been spending more on pantry food ,my dogs have food for the next two years.I make lovely dinners & on other days a sandwich & crisp or soup.I do my own pasta bakes & cottage pies although with the my energy going up I’m doing two dinners in my oven to get the max out of energy.I also have an English breakfast for tea,”bacon, sausage, mushrooms, eggs, hash brown & beans .Then on another day a bacon sandwich & coffee with shelf stable milk 🌸🇬🇧🇺🇸

I'm a 75 year old widow living on my own. I usually spend between $200 to $275 a month which includes my household products. I have spent less and I have spent more since the price increases. I have been Prepping for a good while so my pantry is well stocked. Fortunately I'm debt free so I can afford to go up without a problem, Yet!!!! Lol I have used alot of your tips and tricks so that helps alot too.Your tomato plants look great. Dinner looks delicious. Blessings Rhoda 👍❤👍

I buy reduced meats. Aldi's sells there chicken leg and thigh for 55 cents a pound in a 10 pound bag. I buy 2 bags at a time and break them down. I'll cook three if them and usually have one left to make a casserole. I just recently bought one pound blocks of cheese for 2.99 a pound. I'll buy 5 to 6 at a time. At certain times of the year we eat our freezer down.

I don't have a set amount of money spent on groceries each week. There are weeks I only buy pet food and litter. We eat out of the pantry and freezer weekly. I keep a running list of things I'm out of or low on, so they're quickly replaced. I set aside money for marked down meats, or good sale meats. I don't buy an extraordinary amount of canned soups, boxed meals or frozen convenience meals. We're all about homemade, in this house.

I’ve been buying powdered milk in the can. And I can make 4 gallons of milk and it’s cheaper on the month than trying to buy three regular gallons in the jug. And I’ve been eating more cans of chicken and tuna. And I found orange pekoe tea on sale at Kroger‘s $1.18 a box I got three. You have a blessed week and hug the grandbaby.🤗🤗👩🏻‍🌾

Hello 👋 I'm not trying to be rude or start a argument in the comment section, I do enjoy your videos. However, EBT,food banks and other is meant for truly poor people not people who make good money and want to be frugal, God Bless

Hi Rhoda! We spend $450 per month. $100 of that is for stockpiling. We eat mostly vegetarian meals.
We stopped eating beef, pork and chicken after my husbands heart attack 5 yrs ago.We do eat fish, eggs and dairy. I shop sales. I told my husband I will only buy certain items when they are on sale, for example yogurt. It is too expensive at regular price! If I had to reduce my grocery budget by half I would have to give up some of our splurges like dark chocolate and protein bars. Thanks for the videos! They are enjoyable!!

I’m on social security and my monthly food budget is $151.66! I have my monthly social security allocated to each area, rent, electric, car insurance, internet, gas for my car, food, miscellaneous (non food items) propane etc. and an allowance for me…unless I need it for something else. I don’t really have any extra money right now.
