Join Amy as she makes Pressure Cooker Pinto Beans from dried beans that do not need to be soaked overnight to soften them. This is my method for no soak …
Hey, this is great. I just found your channel. I need some beans as a side dish tonight, thanks!
Thank you. I am a man learning how to cook at 60 after divorcing my wife.
Thank you for your demonstration and sharing, 🤗🍒🤗😘🍒🤗
I swear, after watching this, I went to the kitchen, grabbed the half bag of pintos I had, washed them and threw them in the crock pot and used your seasoning (minus bacon). You know, if you foil the lid until it seals the lid and crock, you can get up to 300 degrees, I did. Anyway, you inspired me and in about 4 hours, I'll have a nice dinner. P.s. That Cosori looks great!
I cook my pintos for a little over an hour, not "hours and hours and hours" as you state and the beans I cook are as soft as I get in any restaurant. I don't need a pressure cooker to do it. but I will try this method to see how the next batch turns out.
I got the living well pressure cooker and it’s amazing, I’m cooking some pinto beans with bacon onions, bay leaves etc etc etc
INDIAN COOKING STYLE
I got a pressure cooker as a gift months ago! Saw your video and went out and bought beans n meat. Took me about an hour from start to finish. Was pretty easy with your help. Thanks…
Thank you for your time. You helped me make my first red bean recipe in my machine.
Looks so good 😊
My beans didn't cook on top??
Trying it now!
I have had a pressure cooker for over 3 years and just took it out of the box today. I am trying to cook beans right now.
I think your nice and your videos r great..but my hubby would not eat that…too many spices for pinto beans n corn bread n a side of onion…I put ham hock in mine, a lil bit of salt n Lear her go!!! Looks to me like your trying to make spicey ref ride beans lol
How many watts does the pressure cooker use? I want to use it with a 900 watt inverter in my camper,
I would have put a lil more beans
I just got my cooker. I was confused about how to braise the onions and garlics before. Thank you. Your video helped a lot. I'll use it for the first time today. I'll follow your recipe. 😁
Pinto beans are my favorite too.
Will you be demonstrating the 'Crock-Pot Express XL',? Please do, because you & I have same tastes,. Thanks so much for demonstration….
I’m going to try this recipe.
Your legumes cook more tender and faster if you DON'T add salt before cooking. Salting causes the beans to remain firm for a longer time. 25-30 minutes can make 2 pounds of perfect beans if cooked with just the aromatics 😋
Amy, just seen the video and enjoyed it (mostly enjoyed your passion). Thank you and I can't wait to try them….
don't forget to clean the beans first and rinse them to take off the dirt the cook them in the electric preasure cooker
“Don’t want to much liquid” girl I don’t know where your from? LMAO use low sodium chicken broth then ADD salt OMG……add 1 more pound of beans and you do want liquid UNLESS you’re making re-fried beans……pretty good attempt but anytime you are using a pressure cooker use a bit more CAUTION! It not a laughing or funny matter…..is your pressure cooker UL certified
Cheerful
I am so glad I found this review. Excellent
I gained 10 pounds watching this lol
Making Bush Baked beans in a pressure cooker now. Smells great.
Is that simply a pressure cooker, or does it double as another appliance, like an Instapot?
Would you be so kind to share more from scratch recipes in your Cosori! Blessings!
Nice and cute administration .
I like the idea of a smaller sized instapot. Kiked the video a lot!
Thank you, will be checking your other videos.
I love my Cosori 2 qt pressure cooker too! Haven't tried beans yet but definitely will now.
Those bake bean and bacon dish is making me hungry.
Could you list the ingredients in the description. Thanks for the video, I'm looking forward to trying these myself.
Just ordered my BIG Cosori for my SMALL taqueria . .
Awsome recipe, & I love ur personality…good stuff
I have found that if you do 30 minutes with a natural release, dry beans tend to be done just right. Thanks for the video. Been considering a smaller pot since it's just me anymore. Cosori looks like a good alternative to Instant Pot.
Go Amy. Really enjoyed this.
I just bought one of them mini Cosori cookers. Thank you for demonstrating the pressure cooking of pinto beans (I'm not a good soaker either).
A cooking mentor of mine suggested adding lemon juice to make beans more digestible and easier to cook.
Perhaps you'd like to try if you haven't already? I have tested it before, and it works.
Even soaking beans quickly beforehand (say for 15 minutes) makes a difference.
Thanks for the close-up of the menu panel. Looks very easy to use.
Can't wait to get my hands on it! So excited :).
if that is a small amount of chili powder – I would hate to see a large amount
I HAVE NEVER PRESOAKED MY BEANS. I CLEAN THEM. THROW THEM IN THE POT AND BOIL ON HIGH FOR 30 MINUTES. TURN IT OFF WITH A LID ON THEM AND LET THEM STAND FOR AN HOUR. THEN I THROW IN MY BACON, ONION AND SOMETIMES SAUSAGE. BRING IT BACK TO BOIL AND CHECK OFTEN FOR ADDING WATER. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THEM BECAUSE THEY WILL COOK QUICKLY. THOSE BEANS LOOKED DELICIOUS. I MAKE PINTO BEAN SOUP. DELICIOUS.
Hi Amy & Eric, great videos and recipes. I'm wanting to invest in a pressure cooker, which brand would you recommend cosori or instant pot? Really confused which one to go for!
Awesome. I think you guys are such a cute couple. I love my cookware as much as Amy does. I enjoy your videos very much.
I could not find this pinto bean recipe on your website. Please add a search tab on your website. If i didn’t enjoy your videos so much, i would not have gone through each section looking for it. Love your videos.
I like brown rice, could you do a rice recipe with the Cosori?
Hey Amy and Eric!! Love this idea! Thanks! Would love to see you cook rice in the pressure cooker too! Have a great weekend!
We should not release the pressure and let it rest so that the pressure gets to normal by itself. By doing that you are giving extra time for it to cook hence avoiding to rebuilt the pressure.
