That looks scrumptious! I'm like you, I have to have a little mustard, sweet pickle relish And some crumbled bacon in it. As for the celery, I like less and chop it fine. Thanks for the recipe. I didn't have one like my moms and now I do! 😊

Hi Leslie! I'm with you on the celery in the potatoes salad! I have a potatoe salad recipe that is very different. It is sweet with a twang. You do use mayo in it. I don't know where to send the recipe to you though, if you would be interested in it.

My mom always used a green pepper too. Some can milk with a Tablespoon or more of sugar in the Kraft miracle whip. Always miracle whip. Hmmm and a little mustard. That seemed like a lot of celery and it could cause to get watery. Celery is really good for you. My husband puts in everything.

We're Miracle Whip fans. Might be a regional thing. Midwest girl here. Funny thing. I had never heard of Duke's mayo. In January I was watching a football bowl game. It was the Duke's Mayo Bowl. I said out loud, "That's Leslie's Mayo!" Of course, no one knew what I was talking about. I proceeded to fill them in on your awesome channel. 😀

Always always use Miracle Whip in potato salad. I use potatoes, onions chopped fine, hard boiled eggs, miracle whip, yellow mustard and a tablespoon or so of apple cider vinegar. It is the best potato salad ever!

I only use Miracle Whip in my house! I converted my husband nearly 50 years ago, lol. I use it on everything from sandwiches to salads. I also make thousand island dressing using just the Miracle whip, ketchup and relish.

I'm from the south and growing up my Mom used Miracle Whip in her potato salad. But I prefer Dukes with mustard, and Mt. Olive Sweet Salad Cubes. OMG! It's so good! Thanks for sharing! ❤️

My mother always made it with miracle whip, that is how I grew up. When I got married my husband was a mayo person so I tried it and loved it so much more than my mom's. So I use Dukes, cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed , onions, eggs, salt, pepper & potato's. Everything is to the amount we like. I made this for my mom one year when they were visiting here from Michigan and she really liked and makes it this way sometimes now.

Agree with you…. too much celery….I also use sweet salad cubes, vinegar, sugar. I don’t use mustard so I assume if you use mustard there is no need to use vinegar.

I guess I have to jump on the bandwagon. Diehard Duke’s here, for anything mayonnaise. Miracle Whip Salad Dressing is too sweet and with both my husband and I being diabetic, I have seen the MW label. Besides, I just do not want things that I deem savory to be sweet, for the most part, though I would add some sweet pickle relish. As in all things Food, to each his own. Right? 😀
