A special thank you to @owen.han for joining me on this new episode. Owen is known for his incredible sandwiches, so we just …
they are great at this
Incidentally, the reason the pasta needs salt is because Olive Garden doesn't salt their pasta water. They do this so their pots will last longer.
It does work, but it hasn't been determined if its because the pots don't have salt water in them, or if it's because the pasta ends up coming out so bad, fewer people eat there.
Yum! I love this content with Owen! Incredible duo!
I dunno what this guy is smoking but I've been to nearly every section of Italy along with family in Sicily and yes, Spaghetti exists everywhere…this dude sounds like a fraud from his "knowledge" to his mispronunciation of "ricotta"
This sandwich didn't feel all that epic. A "tour of Italy" sandwich would have really been a home run, instead he opted for the safe option any of us could do. First time I've disliked a babish vid
Uh oh your gonna have to fight Jeff Mauro for the title of Sandwich King
This video was fantastic and I hope they make more, but having Owen make a sandwich in a non aerial view feels kinda wrong 😅
Definitely making this!
I wish the recipe had weights as well as volume. Great looking food though!
One does not simply earn the moniker "sandwich king" without being able to inhale said sandwiches like a boss
My favorite thing from olive garden is the zuppa Toscana
Day 115 of asking Alvin to make the tank shaped cheesecakes from Girls und Panzer!
I want to eat that so bad
Someone please remind Andrew why he has 10mil + subscribers and tell him he needs to do that again 😓 clearly it’s not working. Only saying something because I miss the funny, whisky drinking Frasier watching Andrew 😢
Sorry to be a killjoy here but Alfredo is Italian
use the alfredo as a dipping sauce.
worst episode ever.
The most impressive thing Olive Garden has ever done is to convince people that they should come in and sit down and wait to eat overpriced fast food.
You had me at giant breadstick. 😉😄
Babish: It's like food for the infirm.
Me: But I like my pasta soft! 😆🤣😋😄 I know. I'm sorry. I'm dismissed.
What an insanely handsome man.
I’m sorry, but Babish lost the salad war
This guys dope, really fun personality
An Olive Garden bread stick sandwich, I remember when Josh and Trevor made one on Mythical Kitchen
Literally the ricotta thing originated in northern Italy. Dunno why everyone thinks that's just an American thing.
Olive Garden? Oh guys, no!
hey guys do you think this dude is italian? i couldn’t tell
Fettuccine Alfredo is an italian dish. You dont see it much, but it originated in Rome.
Salt Hank has 24 hours to respond
Given how integral she is to nearly everyone's shows, we should really call this the Kendal Culinary Universe.
Kendall combines! 😁
I grew up in Florida too! Born in Long Island, NY and moved to Tampa Bay, Florida when I was 3
Olive Garden did a breadstick sandwich summer of 2015.
Spaghetti and meatballs IS something you find in Italy, but only in some very specific areas in the south…which is where a LOT of the immigrants came from (because the south of Italy has always been poorer and more vulnerable to bad harvests than the north).
There is nothing better than making your own rolls for sandwiches. I make my own sub and hoagie rolls, and it's wonderfully delicious.
I have never eaten at Olive Garden. The only thing I know is that people go there for for the free bread and salad 😅
my favorite thing at the olive garden is the salad. obnoxiously acidic, and the pepperoncinis are essential. i'd put some on that sandwich.
tf2 sandvich when
what a waste of "food". man USA is really number one. the only thing you forgot is you 9mm Austrian glock-19 with your food and a flag
Back around 2015-2017 ish Olive Garden had Bread Stick Sandwiches as a lunch menu item. Pretty sure there was a chicken parm and meatball parm version, possibly a third with alfredo. Around the same time they would have Buy One Take One for $12 – a full plate of pasta there, and a frozen one to go. My family would sometimes visit me while I was in college and we'd go there, and I would take all the leftovers and have dinner for a week straight. Gained a lot of weight.
I don't know Olive garden, and I doubt I'm gonna love a place that overcooks pasta
8:32 giant potato
I want to see this, but with the Fazoli's menu.
Babish… please start a fast food Italian place.. kinda like dominoes oven baked pastas, but better… oh and its open 24/7.. i'm sure you get cravings for Italian food at 3am sometimes too
Olive Garden chicken parm is 🔥. You’d be surprised at how many places mess it up.
Okay, okay, okay… First off… Telling ANY Italian person what is "traditional" in lasagna will automatically get you cancelled by someone. There is no such thing as traditional lasagna. I have been roasted to the coals by putting bechamel in lasagna by Italians. I have also been roasted to the coals for putting ricotta in it. If anyone says that THEIR way of making lasagne is THE way to do it… they're wrong. There is no correct way to do it. Have fun and do it however you like.
