I'm looking for a rye sourdough bread recipe to go along with your foolproof rye sourdough starter. I successfully made the starter and I'm attempting a combination of flours to make a no knead, but I am a beginner, it is on its final rise now. Do you have a recipe for rye sourdough bread?

Thanks for sharing. Lee and Daniel prefer soft bread. They won't eat the crust on store bought sandwich bread nor the plain crust on pizzas. I prefer a variety of flavors as textures in what I eat. Off Grid with Doug and Stacy did a video of ugly sourdough bread. She is busy so often forgets to score the bread. She took a cue from the Amish who put the dough in the loaf land in chunks. The Amish do two but since it's usually just the two of them she did three chunks in hers. It creates bumps in the cooked version and it's easier to pull apart where the chunks pieces meet. I stayed at my mother's house yesterday night to pick up Daniel's school work. I know how to get there by walking from her house but have no idea how to do that from our house. I played with Bob who is a Dachshund mix who looks mostly like one but his legs are somewhat longer and Serenity and Ritchie who are my brother's kids. Mom went to work before the were giving them out and she was to get off work and hour before the latest time we could get them. I walked there and back earlier since I was worried we wouldn't have gotten there in time with the work and other parents who worked getting theres. Chatted with an old friend whose daughter is in the same grade as he is in. For one thing there was a delay I told two firemen game to check out an alarm. Second I wasn't sure where to go as once everything could go inside they just mentioned the general grade levels. Daniel's technically in the fifth grade so I went there but they didn't have it and weren't sure where his teacher was. They just came to me a few minutes later. Wished I brought my backpack as I kept dropping his pencil case which is the hard plastic kind. Also been getting free breakfast and lunch from the school. Since we are far from it his regular school bus driver drops it off at our regular meeting point. This time I was smart so I brought my backpack which can fit a lot since it's a larger camping one. I used to use it as a diaper bag but now use it as a travel/ laundry bag.

What fun,Mary! I shall have to try this. I so far have chickened out when making no-knead breads and added more flour. This looks a spectacular loaf that will be loved by children and adults. Many blessings. Alison.

Thank you Mary. But now I want some homemade bread. I will have to make a quick bread since I have no yeast. I just got a bacon bread recipe so maybe I will do that one. Be safe and God bless

Mary I really like how you explained about moving from commercial processed type bread towards whole grain and organic. A tablespoon of malt syrup is delightful in a whole grain. I found. It’s a lovely basic thing in traditional cooking to never waster anything, as you point out that every bit of flour should be brought in and not wasted.
