Fantastic review and update John!!! Unfortunately my Ninja Foodi deluxe (original) is still going strong lol, I wanted one of these (the one with the temp probe) right when they came out! I/we use our's 5 days out of the week (actually me because my wife doesn't really cook that much) My wife said "no way Ours works perfectly!" so I have to wait till it dies. I have the OL701 and I love it. I agree with your analysis for the most part. Putting in the silicone ring is difficult and awkward for me. Have you discovered an easy way to get it in? I have tried the sous vide function with chicken breasts. They came out juicy!
I have the OL701 as well and I love it! Used it twice yesterday. As a single man (divorced) I cook a lot of stuff and put it in food-saver bags in my freezer and have a variety of things to eat whenever I want to! Thank you for all your videos and keep them coming!

The lid section looks like a royal pita to clean. No doing a steam cycle isn't 'cleaning'. I'll pass on this thing.

You had success with souvid on prior models. Is this the same or worse?
Cook bacon on parchment paper,on rimmed cookie sheet in oven. No grease popping.4 ppl with no IP .cook extra for next meal .
When you use those foil pans the shiny side goes down and it won't stick.

Nice video. Nothing, however, will disguise the fact that this is a massive footprint on someone's counter. I use an I-Pot, have for years, but the 3 quart is the right size for a single person, or a duo. Not this. Sadly, they have to build these for the majority. Love your channel…
Oh how I wish the smaller one came with the probe and the auto pressure release. I am 67 & live alone and can't see a need for the large one for me. Thank you for your honest review 🙂

Hey John… you should try Pickapeppa sause! I used to be an A1 guy but a friend turned me on to Pickapeppa 15 years ago and that all I use on steaks and hamburgers now.
I will be purchasing the OL701. I am holding out to see if QVC/HSN will offer it up in color options. Been so tempted to snatch it up directly from Ninja at the 20% off sale. Tell ya what I have been doing lately, though. I have been mimicking the Steam/Crisp and about to try mimicking the Steam/Bake in my older version. 8qt 8n1. What pushes me into getting the OL701 is the built-in probe and the fact that it can be used while PC. That and the addition of the automatic PC release settings…..GAME CHANGERS INDEED … 🙂
