Hey Leisa, I’ve seen you canning up something where you had your lids in a bowl of warm, hot water. what my question is,if you do not use all those lids that are taken out of the package, washed, and placed in that warm bowl of water, can you still reuse the ones that you have not used?

My husband is now finally getting on board for canning and prepping. Going o help me this summer! Yay! Finally able to feel like I’m doing this for a cause without getting fussed at. The higher prices he’s seeing has freaked him out. Sheesh it took that to get him on board but I don’t care he’s on that’s all that matters!

I do a lot red solo cups as well I just take my scissors and sniff around the bottom edge and I write on it what’s in it I use the same ones over and over and if I don’t plant the same tomatoes or peppers I cross it out and I write a new one there’s plenty of room on them. They were great red Solo cups. Snip Around the base of the solo cup nut sniff L O L

I wasn't able to watch you live but this is so wonderful. What you said about being in the kitchen, wow. My grandmother died when I was 10 so I didn't get much in the way of cooking lessons from her and my mom didn't do a lot from scratch, like you said the days of convenance foods has made a huge gap in learning how to do it on our own. I am now teaching myself how to do things. Bread is a big part of that, and 'sandwich' bread scares me, but I need to give it a go as our local bakery charges 6 or 7 dollars a loaf and my husband goes through a loaf a week. I have also found that if you get away from eating packaged food then try to go back to it, it leaves a very NASTY taste in your mouth. My daughter would rather clean toilets than cook.

Just love you guys! Not only am I learning so much but I’m laughing as I learn. And bacon grease is great, make pancakes and French toast in it. Sauté onions in bacon and use as base for Alfredo sauce. Just saying…..yum
