    I liked the idea of keeping the aviyal with a bit of gravy and putting tempering though usually not done. Hence tried it as you mentioned. Nice taste ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

    Sir, In kerala we are not using mustard seeds in the last. We will add curry leaves and fresh coconut oil ( not heated) and will close the lid for sometime.This makes aviyal more tasteful.

    Chef, sorry to say your Aviyal looks like "Kurukku Kalan"…also we never give tempering. You can pour coconut oil and curry leaves on the top of Aviyal once it is done and close the lid. Happy Onam

    Thank you for taking attempt making avail our one of the super traditional dish.and so happy sir.but want to say one thing.avail is combination of all vegetables.and it's healthy little correction is there sir.after putting the coconut paste boil forwhile.remove from stove and put raw coconut oil and curry leaves . Close it with lid 2mintues.just enjoy the aroma while pouring into serving dish.smell of coconut oil mixing in hot vegetables it's super duper sir.just try once.
