Thank you for your service. For our family, it's a rotation between our three homes. This year is my mother and father in law's turn. Last yr. was mine and hubby's. This year in-laws are doing burgers- easier on them. Plus I actually get to eat the main meat. I'm allergic to all poultry so turkey is a no go. I'm still making pumpkin pies, as I am the one in the family that grows pumpkin.

Don’t buy that package stuff ! Make buttermilk cornbread (buttermilk, cornmeal, eggs and oil)! Mix with your wonderful ingredients and it will be your best dressing ever!

My town is the most haunted town in Kansas and one of the most haunted houses in America is in my town. It’s the sallie house and the owners let people spend the night in the house for the month of October for Halloween 👻

I send out Christmas Cards 🙋‍♀️ It’s quite rare these days, at least where I am, to send cards. I only receive from my family and 2 friends. No one else that I know sends them out anymore, which I find sad.

Been married 48 years. I have made the same menu for decades as the kids look forward to our traditional meal. From MI, so it has a different look than what we see in NC Southern meal. Turkey, bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, crunchy sweet potatoes casserole, cranberry relish and sauce, plus pumpkin pie and several other kinds of pie.

We do the lego advent calendars since both my kids are lego obsessed boys. They are amazing. Pricey but well worth it cause they end up with some fun characters and pieces to add to their collection after Christmas! Sometimes even my hubby ends up with one! 😂😂😂 This year my oldest picked the guardians of the galaxy one and my youngest picked the Harry Potter one so we should end up with some neat pieces. Also I didn't know Cretors made popcorn but it should be pretty good since they definitely know the popcorn business. Cretors is the company that makes the commercial popcorn poppers that most movie theaters use. 😉

Megan, my step mother and I have been doing cards for 5 nursing homes in town and if we have time one in wilton. We deliver them 6 times a year. And the only ones we buy are Christmas. We make homemade cards the rest of the year. And I've been painting them since the 4th of July. Have a great Thanksgiving to you and your family. 🍗🍗🍗

Good Sunday morning Planting Birches. What a haul. That all looks so delicious. Thanks for sharing. For my Thanksgiving dinner, I believe I'll be fixing some oyster stuffing – with oysters fresh from the Chesapeake Bay, a regional favorite. Thanks for sharing another of your great recipes and have an excellent weekend full of family, fun and food. 😊😊

Your dad is the best! You both have so much fun, and I hope he comes and cooks with you. No green bean casserole! Not sure yet who is hosting Thanksgiving. My house is undergoing pretty big repairs so we can't host. May not have Thanksgiving.
