how much milk was that 2 cups or 4 cups

Does it matter what kind of milk you use for the 3 1/2 cups? 2%? Whole?

It started around the Civil War to preserve milk without refrigeration. Sugar is added as a preservative. Many tropical areas still need it.

I have a Cooks Essential 6 qt Electric pressure cooker…..I wonder what the difference is in that and an Instant pot? I could probably use my electric pressure cooker for this yogurt recipe! Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would really like to have seen down into the Instant Pot. Did you stack the jars? And did you say that you didn't add water to the pot?
My Vietnamese friend said they make yogurt with canned milk and sweetened condensed milk because fresh milk is not available.
Why would anyone add condensed sweetened milk to make yogurt? The healthy probiotics that actual plain yogurt has is what makes it's healthy.
