Sorry to hear you're sick, Rick. Hope you get well speedily. Happy birthday to Dexter, too. Your soup looks delicious and right on time for this time of year. Strangely enough, it is Christmas morning here and it is going to be in the low 70's with full sunshine! Regardless, I'd love a bowl of that soup! Hope you all having a wonderful Christmas!

This looks so good. Deep color and just yummy. Great with big pone Cornbread. Hope you feel better quick. Happy Birthday Dexter. Love hearing your comments. Merry Christmas to your entire family. Dalyce has big pot of this soup in Crock pot. Going to bring our Uncle containers tomorrow. I stewed Turnips down yesterday and taking him some of that. Plus pone of Cornbread for soup and Turnips. Good eating. Get better.

The jury is in. MSG has no ill effects on the human body not even a headache! Chinese food never tasted right again after they took out the MSG because people who had headaches complained and those headaches were never caused by MSG. I am a scientist and I was a physician. My mother swore MSG gave her headaches until I cooked for her after she broke her hip for 3 months. She loved the food and I asked her did she ever have a headache after eating it her answer was no. I informed her it was full of MSG broccoli and she said oh my headaches must have been from something else yes oh and now we have crappy Chinese food!! All studies ever done point to nothing no correlation between MSG and the human body in fact we have it naturally and it is in the foods we eat naturally. There is nicotine also in several vegetables. There are many things that are in foods that have been grown for hundreds of years in the same way. So don't blame MSG for anything! I use accent in all of my cooking.

In Germany when they say celery they mean celery root or celeriac. It stays good longer than celery as well and it tastes like you think celery should taste but never quite gets there. I use that in my soups and stews cubed up in place of celery and it's the big bang! ๐Ÿ™‚

That is such a funny saying my friend and I look the same because I still have my sinus infection! This looks delicious and I would like to have it for Christmas but I have committed to buying Chinese food because it was a tradition of my mother and I after my dad passed away. Mom is gone now too but I have my caregiver and her son and Christmas this year has just been a wreck. My tree isn't even fully decorated yet but I know the real meaning of christmas. This is the first thing I'm going to make after Christmas! I have a 10 quart that I have never used yet so I'm about to use it! May you and your family have a very merry Christmas and a happy healthy and prosperous New Year rick! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰
