I never make drop dumplings and won't be using any frozen dumplings in a box. thank you very much.. Mine are made from scratch, rolled thin and cut in strips, dropped in my broth to cook til not doughy. Oh Paula, you have changed in your cooking too much dear.

I prefer rolled dumplings. My daddy's family is Southern Illinois and that's how I always had great dumplings. I was raised in Northern IL and my momma made drop dumplings made from Bisquick when that came on the market 🤢. I do not like it dropped. Southern cooking yummmm!

No. Noodles aren’t dumplings. Real southern dumplings are biscuits. And you don’t put vegetables in it.
I make chicken and dumplings in my instant pot. I use the pre made pie crust that is rolled up in a box from the cooler section at the grocery store as my dumplings.
So if you can't find the frozen dumplings at your store, try the pie crust and just cut into pieces.
