My go-to London Broil recipe has always been to marinate it in Catalina dressing for 24-48 hours, then grill it—almost always outside. The past couple of years, though, I have been noticing a declining quality in the top round I buy. It tends to be MUCH tougher than it used to be.
Recently, I kind of gave up, and starting grinding my top round roasts. I have actually been getting them on sale at prices cheaper than ground beef, so I have been substituting the top round for hamburger in chili’s, soups, stews, and other recipes.
I probably should try this slow braised, pot-roast style on a full roast.
The yap-yap-yapping is always my favorite part♥ The London Broil and gravy made my mouth water, yum! Happy New Year to you all.
