Just curious, why tuck the tips of the wings underneath the bird if youre then going to flip it upside down, so those formerly tucked tips are now facing up, and at the most risk of burning, instead of just leaving them on the now underside of the bird?

My family and I are immigrants so our relatives are all the way across the world so we never got to celebrate a huge thanksgiving surrounded by family or celebrate thanksgiving in the traditional sense but I want to celebrate it so bad it seems very fun

I'mm european and have never had thanksgiving dinner, but I would like to make it some time, preferably for an american tho, so they'd know if it tastes right. I guess if I ever get an american pal I'll make it for em, looks delicious. 😀

Brussels Surprise – it's mostly bacon!
Try this, parboil half of the brussels whole for 5 mins, make cheese sauce (roux, milk infused with bayleaf and onion, grated cheddar), follow the above recipe with the rest of the brussels. Put parboiled sprouts in an oven dish and pour over and around the cheeze sauce, top with more cheese, bake for 20 mins. Top with sprout and bacon mixture. The surprise is, it's delicious.
