I just found your site do you do nr on the stew?
When I seared my meat, my sear didn't say "hot". It beeped, then after a minute, it turned off. There were no drippings on the bottom either. Did I do something wrong?
Bring that cornstarch slurry to a boil to max out the thickness and simmer for a couple of minutes to take away any raw starchy taste. Other than that, it's a winner!

Thanks for your video. Best to brown pieces where they don’t crowd in the pot..this way browns better this way. Your way, beef gets steamed, not browned. I know it’s more time consuming this way

Corn starch needs to bring to a boil to thicken.

Ohhh my goodness!! I could go for some beef stew right now. Looks really good. I remember my parents pulling out a huge pressure cooker e every thanksgiving. I never even thought to get one for myself. I may add an instant pot to my Christmas list. Lol
