Crush the corn flakes and stir the melted butter into them . Then top your casserole!!!! They brown nicely and get really crunchy !!!!!

I live in MI & we call your potato casserole wedding potatoes. We make them for Christmas when we get together with our extended family. I swear they wouldn’t let us in the door if we didn’t make them!! LOL. Also Jen, here’s a little tip for your croutons. When I was growing up, whenever my mom was serving croutons with anything, she always sautéed them in a little bacon grease. Oh my they made everything taste so good.

When I make the easy potato soup, I use the frozen potatoes o'brien with the peppers and onions.
I could eat funeral potatoes every single day. So good. But I melt butter and mix in a sleeve of saltines to put on top. Hate cornflakes.

This is the exact recipe I use, but I do the shredded hash browns. It is so good!
I make that soup and I add a little more broth and instant potatoes at the end. You can pick a flavor and it is amazing. I have started making my own potatoes and cream of chicken soup so I can have it whenever we want. Yum.
I wonder if I could do a variant on the potato soup with frozen mashed potato?

I do take the time to line up all my tater tots! I feel like you can fit more on when you do it that way, and more potatoes are the way to go! I've made that taco tater tots casserole and we love it!
