I enjoy learning how Kathy runs her kitchen and pantry … so many pearls of wisdom she drops every time I listen to her.… I appreciate that she’s especially frugal … and sensible … what a gem.

Asofoetida is pronounced assaFETida
I'm watching this on replay. Re: the asofoetida (hing) it's delish used sparingly in creamy sauces. A chef in northern Cali used to put it in a seafood creamy dish (it was his "secret" in the recipe for Comida del Mar). I keep mine in a glass jar to keep the aroma in and not scent the whole pantry.
