Instant Pot vs Crock Pot: Which Should You Buy
For more great Instant Pot recipes, please visit InstantPotEasy.com
We’re in the midst of Instant Pot mania. But how do they stack up against the slow-cooking, now pressure cooking stalwart? We pitted the Instant Pot Lux 6-in-1 …
CNET credibility is iffy
Upfront Crock-Pot Express says press the chili button goes to manual time
I got a crock pot express and mine has a Manuel setting? No biggie that I did not get the shiney steel pot I can always purchase one for 20 dollars .. but you no what ? They are literally the same pot.. except the crockpot express does not sound like a droid … 😔 and that my only complaint.. I love the r2d2 sound of instant pot
Both are dangerous
Prone to exploding pressure.
Since they got no metal to metal lock
What? "The crock-pot saute' doesn't create as much flavor as the insta pot"????? Dude that has nothing to do with the Crock-pot. That has to do with the quality or meat and whatever spices you use.
Instant pot is Canadian designed and Made in China.
Crockpot is American designed and made in China.
Now who wins?
This is hard to decide
The rice sitting on the crockpot is your manual setting you can go down to three mins on it
Stainless steel is always healthier than non-stick
Que outrage by instapot mindless bandwagon jumping sheeples who only own an instapot so they can impress their instagram followers with the word instapot and a picture of their dinner. Newsflash. Your followers (reluctant family members) don't care about your stupid dinner.
Go for the one on sale. Both do the exact same things. As previous commenters noted, presets are redundant. Different names do similar things. I love my crockpot express and it was $30.00 cheaper at the time.
Instant pot tiene el recipiente de doble fondo de stainless steel, mucho mejor que cual quiere otro recipiente de "teflon" u otro antiadherente!!! Chequeen el dato!!!!
Crockpot of course order me one from Kohl’s yesterday on the Black Friday deal and picked up in the store.
Crock Pot is an American company. Since there's really no difference in the cookers, other than this, I am going with Crock Pot.
I got that crock pot for $89 4 in a 8 quart and the instant pot 8-quart was running at 169 not a win for an instapot… The only true difference is the stainless steel inside which doesn't Brown any better that's bullshit
The reason why the rice is so sticky, is too much water and not enough oil. USER ERROR.
Recall on insta pot sold me on the long standing good name of crock pot.
I probably will end up getting both! Lol
I have one, my family has the other. No difference at all, buy whichever one thats on sale.. they cook the exact same way. Anyone that can tell the difference between meat done in a teflon pan, as opposed to stainless, is a liar. Gordon Ramsay uses teflon in half his franchises, so does Flay.
I've heard you can buy the steel pot separately if you want to have the choice of either one for the Crock Pot.
I need to get new eardrums after the first 3 seconds of this video :'(
I’m deaf now thanks
Instant pot is better choice and i cook brown rice and it comes out great and i cook quiona 1 min in it came out excellent and i think this video did not represent the instant well and you dont need a button for everything manuel button is great feature for the instant pot it gives flexibility
I.cook rice in the instant it came out nice fliffy and maybe he put too much water in the rice
This review seems slightly contrived. The Instant Pot doesn’t have a “cheesecake” button either and they are a fan favorite dessert. There’s no need to have a button for everything. Some things are simply trial and error while most things have been covered in a recipe online. Rice comes out perfectly every time once you have the right recipe. White / brown and jasmine rice’s each have their own cook times and recipes.
Rice cooker is better then these shits
Cheaply made trash from China.

Stick to tech reviews.
Damn ip owners are like iphone owners !!!!
The setting on Instant Pot for the length of time it cooks rice is probably too long. All you have to do is use manual and set the proper time for the type of rice. I don't have an IP, I have a Cosori, and I never use the preset rice time, it's too long as are most of these EPC's. But using the manual and setting it correctly, you'll get perfect rice.
I've never had rice stick to my instant pot. Honestly, think you're adding too much water.
you can make chili easily in the Instant Pot what are you talking about????? Also… check your ratios for your rice. an Electric pressure cooker traps the moisture so things end up a bit wetter.. knowing that you adjust your times.
the IP inner pot is better. It is not a hassle to clean. Further, it is not from a toxic non stick coating… so no poisons in your system. I have never had an issue with stuff sticking. The 1 or 2 times they did.. it was super easy to get it off.
Yes, Making rice in the IP tends to stick to the bottom of the pot. They do sell a nonstick aluminum insert for $15-$20, however, Aluminum doesn't heat and brown as well as stainless steel, so it is a uni-tasker.
Also, No need for a chili button. There are plenty of IP chili recipes to use with manual settings.
Good grief. I love product reviews so that I can figure out if I need to upgrade or replace my kitchen items. This review seems to lack accuracy in reporting. I'll assume that the presenter was unaware that the Instant Pot that was used in the comparison was an outdated model. The one I purchased several years ago has a bean/chili button. Also the rice I make turns out just fine, so I'm guessing it's operator error?
I wish you'd do a comparison between the Instant Pot and Magic Chef 6 Qt. All-in-One Multi-Cooker. It does have a stainless steel inner pot and seems to have more similar functions to the Instant Pot.
