GREAT Recipe! My family and I really enjoyed the Tom Kha Gai! We always order this at our favorite Thai spot and now we make it our selves. I can't believe how easy it is. Thanks for the video!

You mentioned reserving the outer layers of the lemongrass for flavoring the soup (but not for eating), but I don't see where you used those outer layers. Did I miss somehing? Looks delicious and I'm looking forward to trying your recipe. Thank you!

I made the soup, and it was delicious.
When I did the quick release, I got steam at first, then coconut milk started spewing out. I closed the valve a bit, and covered it with a towel to catch the mess.
How do I quick release and not get the coconut milk mess?

I live in Arizona and 10 miles from Mexico and we use cilantro in everything. I had to do a double take on the cilantro you used as it looked like dill but after a few google searches it seems your using confetti cilantro which I had never seen before as I'm used to the cilantro that looks like flat leaf parsley. I'd be interested in it's taste. Soup looks great too, I'm going to have to try it. Have you thought about using Thai basil in this soup? I bet it would be great too; I love Thai basil!

I love that you converted a recipe to accessible ingredients! Who cares if it's not completely traditional. It would probably fix a craving and be simply delicious regardless. I'm so glad that I found you and I will be making this for my family sometime!
