hi jeffrey,my son got me an instant pot duo nova,i dont see it on your list ,its an upgrade on the lid ,the pressure seal/release valve is totally changed,i dont have to worry about sealing for pressure,as soon as i lock the lid it does it on its on,i love it i push down on a button thats not even where the steam comes out,so you dont get burned,as for this recipe,i cant wait to make it,thanks for sharing 🥰😘

I love your recipes. But the texture of that carbonara is allllll wrong. Instead of cream should be using pasta water and not adding any more heat after the pasta has been cooked, the sauce will be plenty creamy without having to add all that cream! Just an FYI.

Hello Jeff. I'm a Sheigetz from New Jersey, at least I grew up there. Great recipe except for a couple of items. Never, ever break pasta in half. I know it had to fit but that's a no, no. Adding 1/2 and 1/2. Yeeuk! Never heard of that either. Where's the pepper and parlsey? Aside from that, great recipes. I made your sausage and shells yesterday, that was great. Thanks a keep up the recipes.

I adore carbonara and think this one is going to be a hit!!! However, it is decadence personified–all that butter, cream, and parmesan. Have you tried making it reducing the amount of oil and butter? No way am I giving up the cheese! I am going to try this…the question will be how decadently I make it! Thanks for your hard work!

Okay but this version actually takes longer than by doing it in your pan.. just cook the spaghetti with some broth in the instant pot and then do it with the pan the classic Italian way
Great idea to make this in the instant pot, clever way to do it. But I think you shouldn't have turned the heat on after adding the eggs. This way you just scrambled them, that's why they look so curdled at the end.
Now take that mixture and put it in a lightly greased 9×9 baking dish, topped with bead crumbs
and bake in a pre heated 375 degree oven for 25 to 30 min.
It’s actually easier to make this properly without the instant pot.

Hi Jeff, I made this tonight for the wife and myself. I must say it was very easy and so so good. It was the first thing cooked in the Insta pot. I will now be going through and making all of your recipies. Pho is next. Keep it going brother!

Not carbonara except in the distorted American interpretation. You don't need cream at all. All the cream took away from the eggy and cheesy goodness.

Sometimes, when I put the lid on, it seems as if it is locked, but it isn't. I will have to readjust the lid which can slow down my cooking time. I'm pleased overall. I like the look of it. I enjoy the ease of cooking with it. Excellent item.
