The next time you’re invited to a gathering and if you want to stand out from the rest of the crowd, be sure to bring a pasta salad that’s a bit untraditional…and …
This is so good, have made it three or four times already. It's actually really good right out of the Instant Pot while it's still hot. One thing I've noticed though, if you do a pressure release immediately after the 4 minutes of pressure cooking, the water and broth will start spewing out of the venting port along with the steam. Have a towel ready to put over the release so it doesn't spray everywhere. Either that, or let it natural release for about five minutes, although if you do that, the rotini may be too soft.
I believe what did is called double dipping…tasting and then using the same fork that was just in your mouth to get more pasta. That isn't too sanitary.
too complicated.

Looks like it would be great as a hot dish as well, no?
It is my new favorite cooking tool>>>ur2.pl/1052 especially for meal prepping or preparing multiple meals. A must have in the kitchen!
Try avoid using a pressure cooker. It's a very unhealthy method to cook and it gets rid of all of the nutrients in the food. Slow cooker is a better option.
I am not a big fan of peas. Can I use another veggie?
Hi Jeff! Years ago I used to work for a company in Boston. They had this great hole in the wall deli that unless you were working or from that area you wouldn't even know it was there. Anyway..they made this but they used tortellini. They also used shredded carrot because they offset all of the green and don't get lost in the pesto. It was FANTASTIC! I make it every now and then I use the carrots and some times corn basically for color. Maybe give it a shot with the tortellini! I think you might like it!
Corn instead of peas maybe?
I made this. I hate pasta salads….and I love this. Thanks very much for the idea!
Love your videos! Do you work for Costco? We don't have any out here where we live in the boonies. 😔 Have to drive 1-1/2 hours to get to one.
I made this tonight to bring to my church's picnic tomorrow. It was so easy to make and delicious! Only 5 ingredients: chicken, pasta, broth, peas, and pesto! I am sure it will be a big hit at the picnic. Thank you, Jeffrey.
Ingenious!
Kirkland ftw!
and it's starch resistant. Fewer calories digested. Great.
Believe it or not, I've never tried pesto before! Next time I'm at the store, I'll pick up a small jar and try some on cooked pasta. If I'm lovin' it, I'll give this recipe of yours a try. Sure seems quick, easy and perfect on these hot days! Thanks, Jeff!
looks so good. I think some cherry tomatoes would be great to add.
Thanks for sharing.
Looks absolutely yummy! I'll have to try this with whole wheat pasta. OMG so funny when you turned the rotini into peyas LOL.
