What an absolute waste of high dollar meat. Looked gray and sad. Love your channel, but this is just wrong. Boiled filet mignon. I am an atheist, but still think I have to pray for you .

I was looking for recipe for top sirloin steak and happened upon your video. It was difficult to watch you pressure cook a filet mignon in a pressure cooker, especially pricey steaks from Omaha Steaks. Try aldi’s food chain. They sell Black Angus beef. Never had anything tough or chewy from meat department there. Your steaks looked grey, not very appetizing. Outback Steaks, their steaks look and taste like they were pressure cooked first and then whatever…grilled, pan grilled. Get your grill out.

Ok everyone, there is a way to properly cook a steak under pressure, but this is not how to do it. First of all, the steaks shouldn't be seared before the cook. The cuts should be seasoned and set on the rack that come with the instant pot. For liquid, you could use beef stock and liquid smoke with any mix of seasoning like rosemary, garlic, and thyme – THE MEAT SHOULDN'T TOUCH THE LIQUID. Once they're cooked to your preferred doneness under pressure, pat them dry, and sear in your cast iron on your stove for a good crust. It can be done folks, just not like this.
