Its 2 hours plus 40 minutes! Not 240 minutes!
1. Fat is your friend; SUGAR is the enemy, but lobbyists convinced us that the reverse was true.
2. I remove the meat from the bones, put the meat back in the pot, reduce it down until almost all of the water is gone, then us a Vitamix to puree/emulsify everything, then freeze the result into pucks that I can drop into anything I want to boost the flavour of. (Adding one to hamburger when you are going to make patties for burgers makes them taste AMAZING!)
Nice little dog we have they are a great dog we will be on a walk soon then back to make bone broth good video
Yes, if you hit the minus sign it will default to 240.
Your voice is nice and it kind of reminds me of Dory from Finding Nemo 🙂 anyways, thanks for the video and tips.
I just came back and watched the video for a refresher. I made this last year for the first time, and it was amazing. It sure did taste good when I got sick. I don't have as much freezer space this year, so will use some of it for soup and freeze some. Thanks for sharing!
I wish these videos could be shorter – it’s a known fact that any videos over 5-6 minutes become unpopular and not viewed fully by viewers with busy lives … and those others who need to check on a whole bunch of other communications !! Thanks though .
For years, I have added whole, uncooked eggs in shell to soups, gumbo, or any pot dish that has a lot of liquid. After a while I will whack the floaters and cause them to sink in the juice. Eggs will take on the color and flavors of whatever they are cooked with. Boil crabs or crawfish with seasonings; add corn, potatoes, and eggs to the boiling pot. Crawfish flavored boiled eggs!!!😀
the dog like. this crazy woman talking to herself. lol😊
I leave out the onion, garlic, ginger root, turmeric so i can share with my dog 🐶
I’ve never heard that onions are bad for dogs. Can you please explain more?
Love your video. That’s perfect! Thx. That’s really done well!
No garlic?
Excellent video. Thank you
Was the turkey and veggies organic?
I usually sleep when feeling under the weather, drawn out videos are the last thing I feel like making. Each to their own.
The fat is called…TALLON… let it cool then skim it off & you can fry with it or spread it on toast, bread or crackers…its tasty…just sayin
I love that you added garlic! So many people don't.
Fat is healthy.. Fat doesn't make us fat.. Sugar makes us fat
Thank you.. excellent presentation!
At 73 yrs and when younger I camned and froze tons of food. Used the old presdure cooker. Today i borrowed my son's electric pressure cooker
specificly to make chicken bone broth (never made before). I knew some people made beef broth in the electric cooker setting it for 4 hrs. But I didnt know how long to cook for chicken. SO GLAD to find your channel!
Making my broth tomorrow. Have organic chicken legs ( bigger bones, more nitrition) but need to pick up organic vegies.
My biggest concerm is that I do not have a good water filter and have no idea what to buy since all bottled water comes in plastic.
Thank you again. I have subscribed.
Drape a towel over the top to safely release the pressure.
I used mine on slow cook setting to make beef marrow bones broth—took two days
I know I’m late to the party, lol but Wowwww I’ve only ever cooked it for 2 hours and it gels up perfectly… I’ll try increasing my time… what size pot do you have?
Gizmo's waiting for a bone
Very informative.. Thank you.. Loved seeing Gizmo!
Great tutorial!
Thanks , God Bless you .
Love your video's!
I COVER MY S&P PIGS WITH A LID MADE OF ALUMINUM FOIL BECAUSE LEAVING THEM OPEN LIKE THAT ON THE COUNTER LETS ALL THE DUST AND IMPURITIES GO INTO THE S&P.
I’m on my 4th batch. I like adding a fresh turmeric root.
The minus button will go straight to 240 minutes.
If you use dairy, you could add a bit of heavy cream to your bone broth. It makes lovely cream of turkey/chicken soup.
Can't wait to make this! Love pugs! Fostered almost 280 so far.
Pug Pug Pug!!!!!
Vinegar is not needed with pressure cooker as the pressure forces all minerals into broth.
Sandy! I don't know you but I've just watched a couple of your videos and I really appreciate the way you communicate. Simple videos but a good author! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Also, hi Gizmo!!!
Thank you for this video. I just got an instant pot and haven't used it yet. I love bone broth and have made it several times and cooked it on the stove for 24 hours. I'm nervous about the pressure cooker though so your video has been very helpful.
I enjoyed the video. Thank You! Broth sounds delicious, and so do you. 😊
I just bought an Instant Pot and this is exactly what I want to make! Looks absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing!
I save my chicken bones etc, also until I have enough to make broth. Made some the other day, and yes, it is so yummy, that I had 2 mug fulls of it, it is so flavorful. Thanks for sharing your video.
Sandy Thank you, Made some last evening not tasted it yet it looks good but not jelled may be as only left in cold water i usually put it in the fridge overnight
Hi the Apple cider vinegar i can buy is with honey would that matter as i would only use a spoon or at the most two spoons of vinegar or should use just cider vinegar great video looks good enjoy
Thank you for taking the time to make this video – really great information! I am going to give this a try. I loved seeing your cute little Gizmo in the background!
