If you put that chicken 🍗 in front of Lucy she will tear that chicken up!😂🤣😂 Keep up the good work we all make kitchen boo- boos. I been cooking over 50 years and sometimes I don’t get it right. But for the most times I’ve got it right 👍🏽🤙🏽

Question…. I seen you guys mention how much you love to eat the fried onions and put it on the foods you eat. Is it the same as the ones people use to put on the green bean casseroles? The French's brand fried onions.

The worst recipe I EVER made from YouTube was a pork butt, slow cooked overnight, with beer, coffee and ketchup. Eeeeewwwww!!!! I couldn’t find that video to make a comment. That was before I knew about checking history 🙄. It was a while ago. 😁. I fixed it, but ew.
The chicken might taste better tomorrow. Hugs and smooches for Lucy 🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘

Aloha Amanda, Felix and Lucy, thanks for keeping it real and showing all of us, real life as it happens. What happened that day has happened to me so many times but I learn from it and it usually happens on a new recipe. I have been cooking for over 50+ years. I could see in your face you was committed in getting it right and you put a whole lot of effort and energy in trying to get it right and really isn’t that the main goal, you wanted to make a nice healthy meal? You did do a lot of work that day by editing videos and then taking on a big meal to have a nice dinner. What more could you ask a person to do and by you trying to do it yourself, it makes you a suceeder in my books because you didn’t quit. I feel exactly how you do, if I bought the food and spent the time, we will eat it. Maybe in a Teri veggie stir-fry (cut the chicken in thin strips), just doctor it up with some fresh veggies, spices and sauces. Be glad it wasn’t a meal that took a very long time to prepare and you used very expensive meat and then it didn’t come out in appearance or taste, which really sucks because of the cost of the expensive ingredients and time in prep work. If it fails kick back and relax on the sofa with Lucy and at times, that little break from it all helps you decompress and you can look back and see maybe what when wrong. If it’s a new recipe I usually chuck it and move on in life. If Felix can teach Lucy to use a fork and sit at the table, pass the info this way since I feel our dachshund would like to eat at the table too, but IDK about her table manners?

As you cook your meals, you'll find out your taste in food. You can change the way recipe prepared it or change the ingredients to your taste. The recipe is only an idea to some of us. The roasted veggies look good.

Just add BBQ sauce and rebake it again. It go one step up and use Thai curry paste (yellow or green) and coconut milk. Loaded with your veggies then you’ll get an awesome chicken curry. Yummy 😋

Hate when a new recipe doesn't work out. Can doctor the rest of the chicken adding more seasoning like the Primal Kitchen sauce. ; ) Or make fried rice or soup or stir fry? In past have tray baked chicken and veg at 450 degrees. Chicken becomes crispy, but watch out for your smoke alarm. When brown enough, cover with foil. Everything looked ono and Lucy got her close ups!

The chicken looked great… that little crispy burnt parts. You need to have several good back up dipping sauces. Like fries need ketchup or watercress needs shoyu/mayo. Great effort though.
I think Lucy misses always being close to you guys like at your old house. Now that there's room she feels neglected. Will vlogmas run to the end of December? Another fun video.

Once you cook a meat, you don't really want to re-cook/fry it. What we do, usually with leftover Thanksgiving turkey, is chop it into cubes and add it to gravy (usually leftover from TG but you can make packaged or bottled). Then eat with mashed potatoes or rice. OK, not super healthy, but you won't be double-cooking the chicken so it stays tender. You can also add it to chook/okai.

Hi! Love your cooking videos! When you cook the chicken, try leaving the foil off or venting it, otherwise you’re steaming it and it won’t crisp up. I’ll have to try your cauliflower recipe! You should do a recipe book !

Everyone has failed in cooking to master your skills. Add some salt to the chicken or cut into pieces and make fried rice. Love how Lucy sat on the chair and waited for dinner. Enjoy your rest of the meal prep!! Love you guys!

It still looks good! I always try a new dish 3 times. The kids usually tell me if a dish needs to leave our house permanently. Channel your inner Gordon. He will not lead you astray 😂😂😂.

Just add sauce to the chicken or dip it in some tasty sauce. Ketchup, Sweet Chili Sauce, Oyster Sauce and Shoyu, Banana Sauce, Sriracha. These and others are always in my house to save anything. Your sides look good. Mahalo and Aloha.

Hey Amanda, Felix & Lucy. Dinner looked great, so you say the chicken isn't what is should be, don't beat yourself up over it. The cauliflower looked delicious, I have to try that I told My wife. So did the rest of your veggies and a Coke Zero with all mm that. Failure, no…. Look at all your successes so far, all because you both worked hard for it. Something some of us wish we could do. You both made it this far, new place, new life for you both,, 1st dinner with family in your new place, and now a new year…. A happy successful New year at that. Keep your chin up and like my aunt would say TALEHO(LET`S GO). MAHALO🤙🏾

Don't be discouraged with how the chicken turned out, whenever something didn't turn out the way you thought it should, especially when it comes to culinary arts, consider it an opportunity to bring out some creativity that's already in you, along with the rest of the foodie ohana. So here's my input, since it's just the chicken that didn't turn out the way you thought, try making cold ginger chicken sauce as a dip for the chicken, and I think it would be awesome!💜💜

For the leftover chicken, get a bottle of Wishbone Italian dressing and pan fry the chicken with it. The dressing will act as the oil & seasoning. Trust me based on the flavor profile Felix saying it was sweet this will fix it right up. Another way to use the dressing is to get some shrimp with shell on and put enough dressing to cover the shrimp in a gallon size zip loc bag and marinate it at least 2 hrs and then grill it! Winnas!!

Practice makes perfect. You have new cookware, new cooktop, new life. I can cook up a storm with my stuff and gas cooktop, but when I tried the same recipe but with different cookware and an electric induction cooktop, it was a disaster. Don’t be so hard on yourself. 💛
