    Hi Jill,
Did you thaw the beef tips or just added them frozen to the iPot?
After 3 mins are you using NPR or QR? It looks like you released the pressure, but was that at 3 mins or how long did you wait after the 3 mins to do that? Thanks.

Accidentally used the strips because I was going buy your recipe to use tips. I thought I was using tips until I saw this video. So I’m smelling it all over the house, Yum, it will be done in a few minutes. Thank you for your recipes. You rock girl

This is one of my favorite instant pot recipes. I decided to try the Gardein meatloaf instead of the tips/strip. I used the whole pack without the included sauce. Came out DELICIOUS! Even more tasty than the beef less strips/tips. Just be sure to add less salt as the meatloaf is more salty. I broke up each “meatloaf” bars into about 4-6 pieces before adding to the mix. You gotta try it:) ENJOY

Hi, I’m new to ur channel and new to cooking with the instant pot. I got my instant pot April 2018 and just started using it on New Year’s Day 2019. Like some people I was intimidating with it. After using it I found out it was so easy to use. Anyway I made your vegan beef stew and it is wonderful. Thank u. I also ordered ur book and after tasting this recipe of yours I can’t want to try more of ur instant pot recipes. Bye for now.

Hi Jill, I made your stew recipe as my very first one and I’m floored at how fast it was! I’m like “What!”, how’s this possible! I halved your recipe because it was just for me, but there’s still leftover and it was really good! I used vegetable stick(Bovril brand) and my own homemade Seitan. I’m totally stunned. The guy who invented this pot, if I ever meet him, I just wanna kiss him, his wife and all his kids, lol! I can’t believe it was actually 3 minutes cook time. Thank you for the recipe, I subbed and liked, I’m sharing on my Facebook instant pot community page too, with a picture of the stew. Please come by my channel and sub me, I’d really love that. Thank you again, Laurie❤️

I just prepared this last night in my Carey Pressure Canner (first anything I've made in a pressure cooker), and it was good. I used the Beefless tips (which are really hard to get now in Canada) instead of the Gardein Breaded Beefless tips that you used in this video. I added two tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken it due to not having the breading, and I didn't have Better than Bouillon, so I followed another recipe for vegan beef broth. When I make this again, I will add more cornstarch and less salt. That said, my husband LOVED the stew that I made, and he's highly critical, so that's incredible. Thank you so very much for this recipe.

OKAY… this was really really good… I did have to make it more of a "chicken stew" because I could not find the Beef Tips or Strips anywhere (tried 5 local grocery stores – 3 of which carry the brand, but not that product). I used Yves Veggie Cuisine Veggie Chick'n Tenders (maybe only in Canada? I am not sure) and a prepared Imagine Organic low-sodium veggie broth instead of a 'beefy' one — everything else I kept the same. It is really delicious. Made your Best Cornbread to go with it – my omnivore 14 yr old son approved both! Now,… we shall see if it gets by the carnivore hubby…. !

This is a cold weather go to recipe for me. Yesterday it was a cold rainy day and this hit the spot. I love it so much I always make extra and freeze some in individual bowls so I can have it in a flash!

Making this again tonight. I have to figure out how to make it on the old fashioned stove. My IP lid took a dive to the floor! Your recipe is GOOD! Made it many times 🙂

I made this today. I'm not sure if it was the better than bouillon or the liquid smoke but I wasn't too fond of the taste. I will try again without the liquid smoke. Thanks for the recipe!

Question. If I substitute frozen green peas for mushrooms, do I need to add them after cooking is over or can I add them at the start? I don't know if they will disappear since they are so tiny.

I have made this using your book recipe and your revisited recipe and both have been delicious. My husband and I always have seconds! I have the ultra insta pot and I am new to it so we will be making many more of your recipes now.

This looks amazing! Just got my IP today as a Mother's Day gift to me. This was my very FIRST recipe. The liquid smoke I love but the smell is SO pungent cooking I am getting nervous if the finished product will be good. Will have to report back. I am thinking maybe 1 tsp would be sufficient. Will let you know. Also, my local grocery did not have any beefless tips or strips in the Gardein brand but they did have the sweet and sour 'porkless' tips in Gardein. Basically the same concept so I just bought those and we will see how it goes.
UPDATE: Okay…absolutely no problem with the liquid smoke. It made the broth. The Gardein 'porkless' tips are NOT recommended. They were really tough. The flavor was very good but the texture of the product was not desired by anyone in my family. I also thought either the Gardein tips or the seasonings themselves made a bit of a spicy broth. It was oh so good no matter how you look at it. I would not put in the sweet and sour 'porkless' tips in again though. But I WILL be making this again. And again. Well, you get the idea. THANK YOU JILL!!!! 🙂
