These tamales look so good and entirely too much work. I love the fact that we can buy great tamales here in San Antonio for a very good price. Kudos to the ladies who have the patience for making this lovely treat!

Omg! Your son is just adorable!! 🥰
Those Tamale’s look amazing. You are the only person (other than my Aunt) I know who puts olives in the tamale. I love that. My Aunt made the absolute best tamale’s with olives!
I miss her so much. 💖
    Thank you for these recipes.
I am going to give it a try. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ummm Hi, HUGE FAN!!!! Could I suggest something? Well I’m a lazy cook sometimes and want a “lazy meal” can you do something like with 3-4 ingredients? Like maybe call it “pantry finds” episodes? Can that be a thing? Is it a thing???

"Authentic" is so subjective. Here in San Antonio, TX can't think of ever having them with raisins and olives. I'm curious where people eat them like that? I'm seriously just curious 🤔, no hate on your version. To each their own.I appreciate the variations. Gotta make it comfortable for our home😉 Your son is adorable.

I love this channel so much! My mom is from Arizona. When I told her I was making tamales she laughed at me. I followed your recipe from your other tamale video. I used vegetable shorting instead of lard because I do not eat pork. Now my tamales are the only ones she will eat lol. I Thank you so much for the great recipe!!!

LARD is so very unhealthy for you. It literally clogs the Arteries, and is responsible for a high death rate among Mexicans. Anyone following your recipe, who wishes to protect their heart, must find an alternative to Lard.
Heart Disease is killing Latinos; especially Mexicans.

is there anything that can be subbed in the recipe for the lard? knowing i put that in food makes me want to cringe. I dont like eating overly fatty items, but love tamales. I have helped my mother in law make them in Mexico but she brought the masa already premixed from someone in the ranch so I never seen that part.
