I'm allergic to pumpkin, and have started making sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin pie. Could I do the same here and sub in mashed sweet potato? Steamed? Roasted? Any thoughts or tips?

What a cool idea and want to try this. So many ideas besides eating them hehe coming to mind. I have an idea of getting name tags on the pumpkin stem and using them for placement on decorated plates to look like a pumpkin patch for something. I am going to invent any idea to use these lol.
My 3 year old daughter is OBSESSED with pumpkins, this time of year is exciting for her because of the pumpkins rather than Halloween 🤣🤣 we're still social distancing so I think we will DEFINITELY be doing this for Halloween 2021
