I’d been looking for a Japanese curry recipe that doesn’t use store-bought roux for over 5 years. I’m super excited that I finally found it! I used stewed beef, seared it first and pressure cooked 35 minutes. Other than that, I just followed your recipe. Tada! It became super delicious beef curry 🍛 Arigato gozaimasu! All my family loved it ❤️
Thank you Namiko! Your videos are always so beautiful and easy to follow, wishing you many more successes and thanks for sharing it with us! Tried this recipe many times it’s on our family rotation of meals.💕
unfortunately my chicken was shredded instead of whole pieces, I cut them pretty big as well! cooking time too long.
Would this recipe possibly work with an itaki electric lunch box, albeit a couple of adjustments to portions probably required?
im so excited to try this when i get home. my question before i do is how do you spice up your curry? or do you know how coco ichibanya curry house spices up theirs? chili oil? or cayenne? or something else? coco's curry is my fav and this looks alot like it. definetly will post again after i try making this.
Where do you get your Curry Roux?
I think you added too much stock… Or it needs to simmer a little bit more.
