Help ! First time user. Roast cooked on High pressure 40 min after that it switched to low : it is counting but appears to have stopped cooking. What is going on ? I had onions and carrots and beef broth. O do better by doing than reading a book the first time. ???

Maybe you can help me. I cooked my first roast in the Instant pot. A beef tip sirloin, or two pieces, weighing a total about four pounds. I used two cups of water and set the roast on the trivet. I set the timer for seventy five minutes. The roast is tender but has absolutely no taste. Did the roast get saturated with moisture and lost all flavor? I appreciate any help. Thank you.

I got my instant pot as a gift & am not real familar in using it yet. I watched your video on making a roast with potatoes & carrots. I don't have tomatoe paste, so can I leave that out? I have a 5.34 lb roast, so how long do I need to cook it, before adding the potatoes & carrots?

I made this today and it was a WINNER. Fed 3 men and they loved it! One went back for 4ths! The chuck roast was so tender. The carrots and potatoes were perfectly cooked. Thanks!

Thank you so much, from me & my sister. Your videos convinced us we needed this gizmo.

We bought a Lux 6QT Instant Pot.

We made this dinner in 55 freaking minutes!

A pot roast, in 55 minutes.

    It was stupendous.

I don’t pay much attention to new gizmos, but I watched a couple of your videos and kept it in mind.

We bought it a couple weeks ago.

    What a fantastic thing!

    Thanks again!

I just got my instant pot for Christmas and I am using it for the first time tonight. This looks to be the perfect recipe for me because it has everything in it that we like and will eat. Good job.

I enjoyed watching your videos.. But I would like to see a video on a pot roast in the instant pot duo mini.. with a few veggies if possible.. I will try this myself either way but I will never make a video of it.. I will purchase a regular size roast & cut it in half if need be.. But no doubt any meal can be made to fit this smaller pot.. It is not just for side dishes as many think it is..Have a Blessed day😍

Stephanie, I'm curious as to why use the manual button versus the meat button. I've looked up the cooking profiles (on the Instant Pot website) and there are differences but they don't indicate what manual is or how it might differ from say, meat.. I get the feeling they added many of those buttons for show. Am I getting too OCD with this?
