Ha! When I first started dating my boyfriend, he said he didn’t like tofu. Now he says he likes my tofu and I tell him he just didn’t have it cooked well before. Lol. Also I love Soom tahini! My local farmers stock it in their farm store. They have a dark chocolate one that basically tastes like brownie batter.

I prefer my tofu scramble made from a softer tofu, but every recipe (except yours) uses the really firm stuff. This is the first recipe I've seen that uses a softer tofu! When I used to eat eggs, my favourite way was scrambled, but they had to not be overcooked, or they go really rubbery. I find the softer tofu mimics that silky texture that lightly cooked eggs have, whereas firm and superfirm are more the texture of well cooked eggs. So I use a medium-soft tofu. You don't want to go too soft. Silken tofu just collapses into a watery puddle.

I just came back from filming a food vlog in Glastonbury, UK where i had the most delicious tofu scramble I've ever eaten at the Pyramid Vegan Cafe. Also had a vegan scotch egg for the first time and it was next level!

I (an indian) made the mistake of putting Kala Namak in my American husband's omlette (real Eggs) and he was freaking out saying that the eggs are rotten 🤣🤣🤣 it took some time for me to convince him that it smells and tastes like that because I've used black salt (kala namak) in the omlette 🤷♀️

south asian parents dont lie!!! ive also been making tofu scramble like this….you can add earth balance to make even richer. also i use vegan yogurt instead of the milk and tahini. happy people will be finding a whole food recipe rather than just egg!
