Thank you for the recipe in the description box it helped alot. I made rice for the first time and it came out well, just like the rice you get at a Mexican restaurant. Thank you. 👍

I'm learning how to make better burritos and THIS is the recipe that I've adopted. Even with a few mistakes, it turned out good on the first try! I was also aiming for a drier rice so I used 1 cup rice, 1.5 cups water, 0.5 cups passata (which is just pureed tomato minus skin) and those proportions worked well for me. I wish I had a rice cooker that I could toast the rice in, but it looks like it'll have to be stovetop for me.

It took about 9 seperate tabs in the order I found them in to finally find a sensible recipe that included a non- bouillon version, which is preferable. Chicken broth, tomato sauce and simple spices/seasonings sound much better than Monosodium Glutamate, Corn Starch, Beef Fat*, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Dried Chicken Meat*, Autolyzed Yeast Extract (Barley), Chicken Fat*, Natural Flavor, Maltodextrin, Silicon Dioxide (Prevents Caking), Dehydrated Parsley, Disodium Inosinate, Citric Acid, Yellow 5, Annatto (Color), Yellow 6.

    Thanks!

Different types of rice cook differently. I’ve noticed that basmati rice, a very long grain cooks drier than most other types of rice. Adding canned tomatoes on just any long grain rice will yield a wet and sticky texture.
