Just a Wallet Fresnel Lens, fist full of leaves, and a sunny day will quickly and easily make a fire. No rubbing sticks together with hand and bow drill, no endless striking of a ferro rod, not even the standard match or a lighter is required.

Does it work with reading glasses too? =)
What a show its all wise fun to watch
If you have a hand drill, you have a battery and no worry about starting a fire, unless he is speaking of those old time hand drills.
I've learned from this channel that I need a ferro rod and now, one of these lens cards.
WOW!! Definitely prefer solar. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us. 🙏🏽
This technique is super interesting! I've learned to squeeze the leaves as much as possible and be patient with the lens. Thank you Dave!👍
Always good information my friend.
With that main fire bundle you had….brought back memories of the movie Quest For Fire….lol
Wow wee Wow ! ! !
Thank you David.
A big congratulations on getting 50k subscribers! I've been watching and pulling for you to get there. Fantastic.
Always a great video! Thanks again and God bless.
Hello David! The Fresnel Lens is really affordable and easy to carry in the billfold but man it is powerful. I have had a good bit of fun with mine. I appreciate the heads up on that.
I often go fishing in places that if I got hurt and could not walk back to safely I would need a few things to increase my survival chances. Knowledge I've picked up from you David is one. I have now ordered a pack of 10 of these lenses and will have one in each of my fishing bags,
Mr David West, I love your videos and have learned a lot. You are the kind of guy I would love to have as a neighbor.
But hey, I live in Chicagoland where it is wet and snowy through a lot of the year. I have followed other bushcraft channels and learned a lot about fire-making in wet weather such as carrying tinder, putting wet wood on the outside of the fire to dry it for later, and cutting open larger sticks to access the dryness inside. However, fire-making and maintenance continues to be a challenge. Can you make a video or two about wet and cold weather fire-making? After all, on warm, sunny, dry days fires are not as imperative anyhow as on when the weather is cold, wet and snowy.
Thanks for your work and insights!
🔎🔎🔎🔎 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
I just bought a set of three on Amazon (red case) for $5.29. 🙂 The brand is Best Glide.
I've carried one of these for several years with one of the titanium cards of fishing hooks. Great video, like always!
OK
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍
Good information David; thanks again for sharing your skill and knowledge.
Now that was a fun video! Truly enjoyed this one. Thanks David.
How much times that fresnel lens can amplify? 2x, 3x, 4x? Nice video!
Nicely done. These should be on every person and in your glove box too. You never know
That's good to see a lens that works because it's not easy to find a magnifying lens that is of any quality in stores mostly poor Quality plastic and detuned = like they don't want it to be able to burn ? Definitely haven't seen any good glass one's . The old one's are collector item's.
Happy Palm Sunday to you my friend!
Thank you for sharing this technique.
