I love goulash. I don't add cheese to mine but I do add a bit of sugar and red wine vinegar. Its so good.
That looks pretty good. My version has kidney beans and corn and we sweeten it with brown sugar. Like spaghetti, it’s great the next day with a little pat of butter. Cheers 🍻
It’s an abomination to call this “classic goulash”. This is Hamburger Helper. Hungarians and Hungarian Americans are pulling their hair out at this cultural appropriation (theft). Call it American Midwest stew, or anything. Why not just call it Peking Duck, it has as much to do with with Chinese cuisine as it does with Hungarian cuisine.
If this is American goulash, you should call this Classic AMERICAN goulash. The ORIGINAL goulash is Hungarian, and it's more like a stee, and has no ground beef.
