mmm I love beans. I use about a tablespoon of bacon grease or lard in my beans and they come out so good. I cook my beans over the stove like my grandma did. Thanks for sharing.

I just got back from a trip to New Mexico, and came home wanting to learn some local NM food basics. I figured pinto beans was a good place to start. Thanks for the clear and simple instructions! I'll be sure to check some more of your content for other ideas.

I LOVE THIS. This is the recipe I've been looking for. Basic…But it's all about the flavor. So glad you used the Insta-Pot because everybody has one now, including me. A friend of mine's mother brought some NM beans to a party and everybody fell in love with them.. But she absolutely refused to give me the recipe. I think she didn't because she hinted that there really wasn't much at all to the recipe. Yet still wouldn't reveal it. However, I recall these flavors in those beans our lovely hostess in this video shows us. And she mentioned about the beans being "soupy", which is what I love. I cannot wait to try this. Thumbs up. Subscribed. Thank you SO MUCH.
