There are a lot of recipe's on Youtube but yours is the only one where the cook is called "Mr. Good Lookin' " and the "Better half" has to constantly remind him how to do the cookin'. You guy are fun and the recipe's are always good. Keep'm coming.

Pineapples contain citric acid, that is why it makes the ham tender(er).. you can use fresh or canned, there is not really much difference, except that some canned pineapple has preservatives in it.

Papain is only found in fresh pineapple. The canning process destroys the other enzyme. But yes,the sugar and acids in the juice and the fruit itself help tenderize the ham. I always cook mine with the pineapple as well as the juice.

yo, everyone in America needs to cook their ham in a crock pot!!! seriously great recipe!! I didn't have the pineapple so I substituted with organic, sugar free Vermont apple sauce (no artificial sweeteners, just apples), apricot jam, and some water . I followed the recommendations for brown sugar and real maple syrup. sooo juicy and tender

Oh Lordy, it's a good thing you have a woman there to teach you how to cook and solutions to keeping the heat in. I like the recipe, but I think I'll add a little liquid smoke since it's too cold and windy out to put my ham in the smoker. No heat, just smoke.

I'm going to try this in a crock pot this year. My oven warmed hams always seem to be too dry.

I actually like the glaze that comes with the ham. I usually mix it up and use it on sandwiches for a flavor boost.

    Great video.
