I made pickled carrots and red onions while “chilling” with you and this video today! I also have issues digesting quinoa and grains like brown rice so it’s so nice to see someone else with the same struggles! Love your channel so much!

Miranda, I got a watermelon that isn’t so great this week either so I put some in a blender w a little bit of maple syrup and it made awesome juice!

I just got to this. And better yet, I got some great ideas for no-cook recipes for this 90° 150% humidity state of Florida. I have a protein powder that os way too sweet for me, but have all the components for those protein bars. Guess what I'm making for hubby!

I love Bubbies fermented pickles but it’s $8-10 a bottle. I’ve tried making my own fermented pickles but it’s the only ferment I have failed at multiple times.

I think it’s the pickling spice (which I get from the Winco bins). Too many small pieces can float to the top and are exposed to air.

It’s unfortunate because it’s my favorite fermented vegetable — it tastes like normal / canned pickles but has all the benefits of a probiotic food.

I can get raw fermented sauerkraut at my Winco (in bags by the hummus) but it’s not nearly as good as pickles!

Maybe someday I will try again…

I have problems with quinoa. I have been told if you are gluten intolerant sometimes the stomach doesn't do well with quinoa. I have soaked & washed it, washed it a ton of times, I still have stomach pain.

Try lime on a iffy watermelon!! And i love trader joes vegan ranch dressing, until I realized it had oil then I decided trying to avoid oil is fine until it keeps me from eating salad!!! No wonder I was loving my salad…but in my defense the ingredients are on the front, just not ALL of them!!! Lol

Loved your recipes. I had to laugh at your comment about the Minnesota accent. I moved away from Duluth when I was 21; I will be 70 soon and I can always spot a MN accent.
