My Momma always used fat back or ham hock in any of her beans or greens. I love using the better than boullion in lots of dishes but like you said it does have lots of salt in it. Maybe if I am good this year Santa will bring me your air fryer lol. I am afriad of Instant pots pressure cookers.

Love to add me some Chow-Chow, hot peppers and vinegar to my bowl of beans or peas along with some Vidalia onion. I cooked me some, along with some crackling cornbread that was sinfully delicious btw.

I was raised on pots of delicious beans, I can still remember my mama's black eyed peas simmering on the stove and us all dying to eat them! This video was so funny too, Miss Paula still has her hilarious sense of humor!😆

No peas this New Year😟. I can almost smell them! The greens, smoked ham, cornbread or fresh baked rolls and creamery butter are missed from our table. While it may not be good for blood pressure it blesses us with wonderful memories of the heart!

Miss Paula.. I made your collard greens and black eyed peas in the instant pot for new years day today.. actually I made the collard greens yesterday because they truly are much better the day after.. I followed the directions to a T!! I am originally from Columbus Ga. and I have eaten my fair share of both of these dishes.. this is by far this BEST of both… and it really is quicker and easier than using the old fashioned way of stove cooking them!! I really like the way the pressure cooker retains all the vital nutrients and the flavor is so so good!! Thank you so much and keep the show going.. love you!!!

I love your videos but until today I haven’t noticed that you used a spoon to taste the liquid, decided it needed more salt, added salt, used the same spoon to retest the liquid and after you once again took the spoon from your mouth you used the same spoon to stir the pot again. That shocked me…..I did that 40+ years ago but don’t do that now. Not a good look in your video. Love love love your southern voice though. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA so I’m used to the accent and it makes me feel at home.
