Hahaha I do orangetheory! I definitely know what you mean about culty. I really like it though! Been doing it for 1 1/2 years and have avoided the cultiness by being an introvert lol. I hope you can find something that works for you!

We did this hotel rooftop New Year’s party and it was okay lol πŸ˜‚ we made the most of it but it wasn’t exciting and they didnt do a countdownπŸ™ƒ haha the DJ was like it’s almost midnight but I don’t have a clock at 11:59 and everyone was like what ??? πŸ˜… but it was nice to be with family
I don’t do resolutions either but goals are always important
I always set a reading goal and prioritize it as one of my main hobbies, and also making sure I’m getting use out of my makeup collection because I don’t wear makeup everyday. I want to go for more walks and practice mindfulness maybe I need to get back into journaling, not sure. I always prioritize travel and I am so excited for upcoming trips. Travel is always the highlight of my year.

Happy New Year Betty! I loved hearing your goals for 2023. When you talked about not feeling like people don’t want to hang out with you, I felt that. Lately I’ve been having bad luck with making friends and making friendships last. Don’t know what’s wrong with me. I know there isn’t anything wrong. Idk
Congrats on 32k subs! I’m loving this cool toned look. So gorgeous! Now I want to create some looks and I’d love to use my MaryJane palette.πŸ’–πŸ’™πŸŒŠπŸŒΈ

This year I'm focusing on myself and trying to get back to being genuinely happy. The last 2 years have not been kind, and I don't want another year of feeling like I have to just survive. This year we are going to thrive!! I'm not pressuring myself to do anything crazy, just look after myself and fall back in love with the things I've forgotten along the way 😊🩡🩷

I'm excited to see you working with older releases on your channel! That will dovetail nicely with my no-buy 2023! Re: books… I listen to a ton of audiobooks. My kiddos and I have almost finished Ready Player One (we listen in the car) and we can't wait to watch the movie together!!

I love the grungy take on cotton candy vibes, so fun! Also all about using older makeup πŸ₯° I really like your idea of using phases of the moon as times to self-reflect or meditate! Something about that feels so fun and also peaceful β˜ΊοΈβœ¨πŸŒ™

I'm pretty similar to yourself as far as goals are concerned. My husband is making sure we travel more for sure & we're off to the canary Islands next week with friends, so that's starting the new year off on a positive note. Hope you fulfill all of your goals, love your channel & you've taught me so much, thank you πŸͺ±πŸ³

This might sound weird, but I have a suggestion if you want to read more. Get a book of short stories, poems, or essays (just something short) and keep it in the bathroom. You’ll be able to finish more books while you go to the bathroom, and you don’t need to take extra time out to do it.

My goal for 2023 is also to ✨enjoy✨ working out. I started Pilates at the end of last year and I’ve been loving it so I hope to grown that love even more! I’m also going to be 29 this year and same as you, I’m not scared of getting older, I’m excited for what’s to come. And I think it goes without saying how proud we are of you! We love you and your content and I’m so glad to watch someone that shares such a love of makeup!

My goal continues to be the same one as all of last year and half the year before and that is to become stronger after a serious illness and a thrice broken arm. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing flare-ups of pain in my arm, which is my predominant one – just my luck. I had lost so much weight that my body was consuming itself and I had no fat left at all. Weighing under 40kg in your early 50s is not a good look. I've been battling back with a tonne of therapies and despite not being able to put on any weight, I've been able to build up my muscle tone. I've got more defined muscles now than in my 20s! I'm seeing an Excercise Physiologist on Monday to target certain areas. The last thing I wish to look like is a body builder at only 5ft4ins. Make-up has been a great part of my recovery journey and helped with strengthening my injured arms, (I had several injuries with both arms injured but just the one broke). It's helped me with coordination, strength and control. I wasn't in a position to get into my art supplies, so make-up it was. That's why I enjoy this Channel, as it isn't all about rushing out to get the latest products but the creative process. I've seen many comments from different Channels where the viewers want to see older products used but the content creator states that the videos about new releases get the most views. I'm more than happy to see whatever products you choose to show, I'm really not that fussed. I'm a big girl now and more than capable of choosing my own make-up. Feel free to go towards whatever content you feel comfortable with. Betty Jean, have you considered Meditation or Creative Visualisation? Great techniques to assist in learning to simply switch off and relax. I learnt this when I injured my back/neck 35yrs ago and live with severe chronic spinal pain every moment of my existence since. Aromatherapy is another great way to adjust our moods and feelings. I burn Essential Oils on a regular basis. You will find your own pace eventually. Wishing yourself and Zane a most wonderful 2023.πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ’–πŸ•Š

I taught fitness classes for a while, and I loved seeing the ladies enjoy their fitness journey but personally, I can't work out in a group. I love that people find such enjoyment in it though! You meet such awesome people! I feel you on diet culture. In 2023, since I don't have the option of working less in the forseeable future, I want to make my down time count! I want to get back to doing my yoga practice everyday, keep on my fitness routine, reach out to the people that matter (which, I feel the same way you do also feels like it is impossible for someone to actually like me lol wtf), and spend quality time with my kiddos! I think 2023 is going to be a good year. Also. Girl. If your eyebrow routine has changed, could we possibly get an updated tutorial? Your eyebrows are soooo lovely!!! I wish the best for everyone this year!!! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

I don't do new years resolution's aka goals, it's just another way to fail and feel even worse about myself so if there is something I want to do I do it I wanna eat better I just do it I wanna spend more time with my dog I do it. At my age I know that making a "New Years Resolution" is pointless because tomorrow I can slip on the ice break a hip and poof I'm in traction for 2 months and I'm stuck eating hospital food and cant move and I gain weight instead on loosing it. Making goals and failing even through no fault of your own can be totally demoralizing and make it harder to try again. Yoda tells us "Do or do not there is no try" weather or not you fail you did it you ate better you worked out and even if didn't loose weight or gain muscle like you wished to doesn't mean you failed just means next time DO something different.

I hope the new year is good to you and your goals and plans work out!
I've never been a resolutions person. I just try to better myself with time overall, I'm not good at goals lol. If I were it would be longterm financial planning, reading more, and move more. With the last one, I'm good with rec sports and classes vs just working out for my own sake (I just get bored).
