I love these recipes and they would work for my husband, but not for me. I have diabetes and I just can't eat things made with flour, potatoes and rice. However, I really do appreciate these recipes because I can make these things for my hubby and I can eat a salad. I so appreciate all of your really good tips for saving money!

You have mentioned an instant cooking pot. Not a slow cooker but an item that you can use to roast, fry and even bake cakes. Is this a remoska pot? Do t even know if this is the correct spelling. I think you talked enthusiastically about it at some point. I was wondering about something like this to save using my electric oven and possibly saving money.
And I do enjoy your videos and look forward to each one. Gosh, times are hard for so many of us just now. Harder to make ends meet comfortably

Your chicken and mushroom pie looks wonderful. I grew up with chicken pot pie which is similar.
I know it doesn't sound budget friendly, but for us it is…I buy sirloin beef when it's on sale (usually in a family pack which is larger) and slice some for stir frys and cut some into chunks for stews or soup. I freeze in meal sized portions. I'll mix up different ground meat (mince) and make into small meat loaves, meatballs, taco meat for taco salads, or meat patties. I freeze these for multiple meals.
I make big batches of soup and freeze in microwave safe mugs.
Like you, my freezer is one of my favorite kitchen tools.
Thank you for your inspiring videos. 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Hi Jane and Mike great recipe for chicken pie. A pie without pastry is known as a poor man's pie the shillings didn't stretch to pastry for that meal Anna.

Hi Jane & Mike, I have recently found your channel and loving all the hints and tips. I am also from Cornwall, recent early retirement (53 yrs old) and feel blessed to be able to enjoy our lovely corner of the UK where I have had the pleasure of living my whole life. Loved your video of making good old Cornish pasties, great to see them made the proper way! Looking forward to catching up with all of your previous clips.

Hi Jane, that pie looked perfect. Loved how the top was so golden, what did you brush the pastry with? I don’t eat meat, but that will be easy to change to vegan/vegetarian. If anyone is interested, here in the U.K., I’ve found a product called “What The Cluck”. It would be perfect for this pie. Thanks for sharing Jane. Xxx
