Hey Lisa yet another great video, thank you 🙏🏻 I keep meaning to ask, the orange painting near your fridge is that an original or did you buy online? If so I would love to get one the same 🥰 thanks in advance
I have no idea how you get so much done with being pregnant and having multiple kids! I am pregnant and have a toddler, it feels like I can’t ever get anything done. my toddler is such a lovely tornado!
She's "with child" her 8th baby, Lisa is the household's "bread winner" (no pun intended), and in this particular video must share a private story for a video sponsor. She (and her daughters too) have enough to do, but, her husband needs homemade protein bars for after "workouts"! What? When the flithy garage refrigerator was recently needed to be scrubbed and disinfected for Lias's new cheese-making operation – why was she the one on her hands and knees? When Luke is left with a task, especially with the animals, it is poorly done. I have actually seen every video episode of Farmhouse on Boone. The girls used to be on film more, the viewer saw them, so little themselves, tending the babies, cleaning and cooking, baking, sewing gardening, tutoring the boys – expertly! I could give a hundred examples of the girls' homemaking skills that most women do not possess, much less have mastered! No criticism intended, I wish to see, the females not only the ones held to the highest standards.
Hi! I love your channel and I just recently decided to try and mill my own flour. Do you have a link for your mill? Do you think your type of mill would work on rice?
I would love to see a recipe for sourdough blueberry bagels, but with 100% freshly ground flour that’s einkorn. I do all my baking with fresh milled flour and adapting it from a recipe using all purpose is always a challenge
Lisa I'm all good with raw eggs. We have been eating it in some form all my life. Examples, ice cream, eggs over easy, egg nog, etc. I'm 67 I'm going to continue this practice 😊 I'm very interested in your protein bar recipe.
Bagels have 2 rises, then rolled into ropes, then made into a ring, and ends are pinched together. They then are set to rise (3rd time). Then they are boiled and removed, and toppings are added, such as dried onion, garlic, caraway, poppy seeds, etc. Then they are baked. Your method is more of a western bread bagel, not an Eastern European bagel. Good for sandwiches, but they lack the chew that an Eastern European bagel has. Thank you for the lovely video. It was well done and informative.
Ooh I’ve been afraid bc I have to complicate by making my sourdough recipes gf have a gf starter in back of my fridge I’ve been afraid to touch…. I’m about to go look up gf sourdough bagel recipes now!
I love your videos. I am a newbie to sourdough starter, and today I finally made your bagels. OMG! They turned out so good and I got so excited. My family raved about them so, I will no longer buy the store bought ones. One question I have is how do you store your bagels and how long do you think the shelf life would be. I don't think they will last to long with my family.
When you make a batch of fresh yogurt, you should freeze dry it amd then you have your own shelf stable thermophilic culture. Those cheese cultures get expensive! You can also freeze dry buttermilk for a mesophilic culture.
Hey Lisa, thank you so much for your inspiring videos! I have a recommendation for you: the youtube channel hopewell heights. I think there might be great ideas for you over there to use your raw milk (for example in one video she makes mozzarella, then uses the leftover whey to make ricotta and after that she uses the now leftover whey to make bone broth. So she got 3 different nutritious foods out of the one gallon she milked)
Farmhouse on Boone- Do you add vinegar to your mayo now? I saw it on the table must it is not mentioned in the recipe. If so, how much do you add? thanks!
Quick question. Did you get a filter for your sink? I know you’ve used the Berkey forever but I noticed you got your water from the tap for your mixer. If so what filter did you get? Thanks!
Have you tried freeze dried blueberries in the bagels? Trader Joe’s sells them. Or you could make them in your freeze drier. Even reconstituted they would have less liquid than frozen. I’ve done your bagels with cinnamon and raisins or cinnamon and reconstituted dried apple and they’re delicious

I advocate for raw eggs! Eat them!!!!! So much better for u! I put them in smoothies for 40 yrs now. I put them in ice cream (the yolks). I love them in coffee or broth. Yes in these hot liquids they get mostly cooked, at least the yolks. Warm the yolks to dip ur steak into, oh my! Raw eggs are SAFE.
Whenever I fry chicken I always marinate it first in buttermilk, before dipping it in a coating. It tenderizes the chicken and keeps it so moist. I also soak onion rings or shreds before dipping them in seasoned flour and frying. The buttermilk takes the harsh sting out of the raw onion and they make the best onion rings or straws! I always fry in peanut oil, because it has a higher burn temp and the food comes out less greasy.
Lisa, I love all of your vlogs, but I esp love the summer/ spring & fall vlogs where we go outside & see your picnic on the table, the grilling outside, the beautiful gardens……. puts me in such a good mood & motivates me to get outside. On that note, going to go plant some new snapdragons I just picked up at the nursery & go take a lovely summer walk. Thank you for always brightening my day…. : )

Hi Lisa, can you share where your dresses are from in the last few videos?

Hi the protein bars recipe looks so good! I want to try it out but I don't see the recipe for it. Where can I find it?

You can also freeze dry buttermilk for a mesophilic culture.
Do you plan to have your cream cheese and bagel recipe on the blog?
Hey Lisa, can't wait for you to have the baby so we can have another birth story ☻ wish you have an easy and beautiful one.

My sisters and I grew up on: mustard, turkey, lettuce on blueberry bagels. Still my favorite.

Is there a concern in using raw egg for mayo? Risk of ecoli?

Where is your dress from? So cute!
Lisa! Your dresses in this video! 😍👌🏼 could you link the company??
Did I miss the video announcing another pregnancy?
Does she share about the 8th pregnancy at all?

Your family is blessed!

Loved the tiny hand reaching up to pinch a piece of bagel dough to sample 😂❤️
This is my dream life❤
It’s common in the south to marinate in buttermilk. Also, it’s great in cakes.

Those yummy granola bars look so good! : )
You're such a good momma!!
Hello, thank you for your videos. Someone puts the dough to rise in the oven under a light/bulb while the oven is still off.
May I recommend primally pure charcoal deodorant ? It is THE best nontoxic deodorant
Oh my goodness now I’m going to be making blueberry bagels. I love homemade sourdough bagels.
I just find these videos so relaxing and heart warming to watch
