That looks good! I've never had Shepherd's Pie but may have to give this a try using some of my home canned roast beef. The smoked Cheddar sounds great in this. I will probably use canned peas and carrots because that's what I use in casseroles. Great way to s-t-r-e-t-c-h that steak! Thanks for sharing.
Just a point but "Shepherds" pie is traditionally made with Lamb. If you make it with any other domestic meat (beef, pork), then it's "Cottage" pie. If it's made with wild meat (rabbit, venison, fowl), then it's "Stalkers" or "Hunters" pie.
I've never added cheese to my shephards pie. Will have to try that. I need to get shelf stable mushrooms; I can't seem to keep them on hand and I'm the only one that eats them; I sure love me my shrooms!
Please please don't call Cottage Pie by the wrong name – Shepherds Pie is made from Lamb the clue is in the name Shepherds and they look after sheep not cows. Cottage Pie is made from beef not lamb.
I’ve used green beans and corn in my Shepherd’s pie but never put cheese inside of it. Thats an interesting turn that I’m going to try next time I make shepherds pie. Thanks for the tip.
This looks yummy. As a kid, I never liked shepherd’s pie with corn (I know, weird for a kid), so mom made traditional and a small side one with green beans covered with a can of cream of tomato for me. Such memories. Shrooms sound delish. Tfs.
My son made shepherds pie for me. Never had it before. Loved it!!
Love it! You have inspired us to eat out of the freezer.
Looks delicious, and I have everything on hand to make it. Thanks for the inspiration!
ohhhhh… yum. This looks delicious.
I like Shepherds Pie but seldom make it. I think some is in my future.
I’ve put grated cheese in my mashed potatoes.
Sounds yummy
Good idea. Will have to make some for us. Thank you for reminding all of us

Thank you, Linda for a simple and different Shepherd's Pie!
I love this! Luckily, I have T-bones in my freezer!
I haven`t made one in a long time. Looks delicious !
That look great. Never thought to use leftover steak for shepherd’s pie. Thanks for the recipe.
We always had Shepherds pie with ground beef. Sometimes corn, or beans or peas n carrots. The steak would just be so good!
So you inspired me to do a veggie one for tonight and a pork roast using leftovers to put in the freezer for another meal.

I need to make a couple of these one to eat one and one for later
I love shepherds pie, we add corn and carrots to ours. Thanks for sharing

Going to have to try cheese in my shepherds pie.
That is my nieces best meal, and soooo easy and fast .

Here you go again, making me look like a better cook! Thanks.
You gave me the idea for dinner tonight.
Looks so good! I need to make this for my reward meal; lol 15 more pounds to go.
I was wondering what to make tonight. Took some steak out without any ideas lol. All I need is the yummy cheese. Thanks for the video. ❤🎉
Did you do your own dried mushroom’s? If so , do you have a video on how you did it?
I noticed the knife you were cutting the cheese. I’ve never seen one like that. Where can I find one?

This looks really good. My family does not like Shepherds Pie, but maybe this way they might try it.
Looks so good! I always add a beaten egg to my mashed potatoes for the top of casseroles because my mom told me to 😂.
This looks so good and so easy, definitely trying!
Yummy I'll have a plate full❤️🌹👍
