Made this tonight – it was sooo easy and we enjoyed treating ourselves. Added roasted asparagus and I cooked the steaks sous vide with a little garlic (can never have too much garlic) and Jacobsen’s Habanero Salt for a little touch of heat. Vermouth mushrooms – will never have mushrooms any other way again!

Got to say thanks for this one. I made it for the wife as a Valentine dinner and OMG that shiitake gravy was out of this world. I couldn't stop tasting it almost ate it all before it went on the plate. Thanks Sam

Sam – Stone cold winner. New mushroom trick beats the old sherry and butter deal. The cauliflower was great too. Best comment from my wife – better than eating out! And there are plenty of decent restaurants where we live. Kudos Sam – my food life is improving!

Going to give this a try today, looks great. Try your oil and soy with some cracked pepper and a pinch of cayenne on fresh corn on the cob. We have excellent fall corn here on Long Island, so I guess the supermarket type will have to do for now. Thanks and great videos.

On the bottle of Cocchi Vermouth it says keep chilled and has a place to write the date opened because it's only good for about 3 months when refrigerated. That being said, I have left some vermouth out for months/years and i didn't think it tasted bad and didn't make me sick, but at least some should be refrigerated especially the better stuff.

Sam, I just made this. Thanks to you I getting lucky tonight! Hahaha it was soooo favorable…I did make one change though, I added a splash of liquid smoke to the mushrooms but other than that, I followed this video to the exact. Hands down best dish ever!

I cooked this tonight and it was awesome. Added roasted asparagus which easily cooked while the steak was resting. My wife loved the cauliflower mash. (Tip – if you have an immersion blender it works great for the mash and makes for easy clean up). Thanks STCG!!
