    Seared the meat for 30 sec each side after seasoning with salt and pepper. Take it out put to side, add equal parts water and beef broth add in ur onion & garlic cloves bring to a simmer then add in ur dry chili pods Adobe crushed tomatoes throw in your seasonings salt Bayleef cummin Mexican oregano etc etc squeeze lime juice ADD in your meat HOUR later remove all the solids other than the meat so the chili pods onions garlic all that good stuff add to the blender and blend. Once blended pour back into the pot and let it cook for 3hours. Take meat out & shred then strain the broth mixture.
    YES you're way is quicker but that slow cooking not only makes the meat so tender it absorbs the flavors together.
