First Try at Using my New Instant Pot DUO Mini
For more great Instant Pot recipes, please visit InstantPotEasy.com
In this video, I unbox, setup and demo my new Instant Pot Duo Mini 3 quart programmable pressure cooker.
I purchased the Instant Pot off Amazon a few months ago after hearing so many other RVers rave about it. I think it’s going to be useful for cooking up meals this summer without needing to run the hot gas oven.
The first thing I try to cook is Country Style Pork Ribs, and they turn out fantastic! I think I’m now hooked on the Instant Pot and look forward to trying out more recipes.
Stay tuned for a second video soon. I plan to test it out running off my RV battery bank running our 1000 watt inverter. I’ll test the amperage draw and overall amp hours used for a 30-minute pressure cooking session and a 4-hour slow cooking session.
If it doesn’t run down the battery bank too much, it may also be useful when boondocking.

USE THE SLOT IN WHITE SPOONS INCLUDED TO RELEASE STEAM
Beegle approved, good enough for me!
Healthy and sophisticated food …
The bad thing about American cuisine is that you put sugar in everything. That is why they are obese and diabetic.
Thanks for the video! I was going to get a 6QT but a 3QT mini looks like it would be big enough for 2 people. Also, the beagle is the star of this video.
Lol The beagle had to work really hard for those few scraps..
Don't burn the trailer !
The beagle has a hurt paw it seems.
nice RV. Thanks for the video
Longed assed intro … can be cut out
I guess she wanted more meat
Beagle is nice
"Way of the road buddy….Way of the Road."
I don’t have one yet… but I want one!
Yums! My first meal was a pot roast. Yep, it too splattered when I released the steam. But it knows how to cook! 👍
Put a towel or dishcloth over vent when doing fast release. I would let meat release naturally.
Great video…
When I had my restaurant … I had 2 pressure cookers… 1954
I would do my meat first thing in the morning … only 15 min…
I left the lids on until I need the food… I loved them so much
ALWAYS… tender meat…
We used to have a beagle so your comment, She's losing her little beagle mind (over food) is so true! 😉
I've had an I-Pot since 2016, recently replaced the 6 qt Duo with the Ultra. But I really love the Mini. I wasn't sure that I'd use it since I live alone and usually eat alone at home. Guess what? I use it more than the 6 quart! I primarily use the slow cooker and pressure cooker, replacing a bunch of stovetop cookers I've used for 30 years. Great video, and good luck!
I boil eggs at 7 minutes pressure, Instant release. I also cover the pressure release switch with a towel so the steam isn't hitting my light fixture, cabinets, face, etc.
Enjoyed the video (and the Beagle). I have to correct you on one thing though…I think that I am the last person on the planet to be buying one!
