Adding ground toasted rice will enhance flavor, this is added in about the same time you've put in the peanut butter, also duced steamed banana heart added about the same time the veggies were added.

My fave dish 😍 you did great! It's missing one thing though… Kare-kare is always partnered with Bagoong Alamang (Sautéed Shrimp Paste) to enhance the taste of Kare-Kare. Some don't like the smell of it but it's good 🙂

Bro, i think you should cook the shrimp paste first. We used tomato, garlic, onion, vinegar, black pepper and sugar to balance the acidity we cooked it with the shrimp paste until it is a bit dark and reduced. Use only a little because it is salty. It is used to compliment the dish, you may use another plate for it. Also you may use fish sauce in your broth to make it tastier and a bit of brown sugar too to make it more delicious. trying it on its own make seem a bit bland for some, but with the right amount of bagoong(shrimp paste) you will love it. ( add a bit of salt when steaming the veggies) thanks bro!
